It's March so I'll go early with a guess at Nigel Clough's retained list for next season. The rest will be released or transfer listed.
Aidan Stone
Kellan Gordon
Stephen McLaughlin
Farrend Rawson
Ollie Clarke
George Lapslie
George Maris
Stephen Quinn
Harry Charsley
Jordan Bowery
Jamie Reid
Jason Law
Tyrese Sinclair
Jimmy Knowles
This is based on the players that he has kept selecting and I've got a feeling that Mal Benning may leave (perhaps needs a new challenge) and he will keep Stephen McLaughlin.

Quinn is a good man to have now, with pressure mounting on this poor run, his experience needed, But next season if all goes to plan, Clough should put a play off push as the expectation Quinn will be 35 in April and another full season as a player i think will be a bridge to far

Swap Perch for McLaughlin and I make you about right.

I’m not far off of your list, depends on what wages some of the backup players are on. Some might be ok as squad fillers if cheap but new keeper, central defender, winger and centra striker the priority. We should have some cash if Maynard and Cook are off.

My Retained List
Rawson
Gordon
Maris
Lapslie
Bowery
Stone (on the bench)
James Clarke (on the bench)
Sinclair (on the bench)
Knowles (on the bench)
Stephen Quinn is a class player, but age means he would probably struggle to play 50+ games.
Everyone else can go!
Ollie Clarke & Marek Stech been big disappointments
I'm surprised Corey O'Keeffe has not played more games.

Based on his performances so far, this year is a bridge too far.

Incredible. I’ve said before no matter how bad we’ve been I’ve seen nothing in this league to suggest teams at the top are that superior to us. Some quality additions here and there will put us on the right path next season.

Ollie Clarke will be here next season for sure, however I wouldn’t expect him to be the captain.
He has shown his ability in glimpses there is no doubt, however he has also gone missing for long periods in games.
He has not shown the leadership you would expect from the club captain I don’t think

The question should be whether Ollie will want to stay here rather than whether we want to keep him.

From Stags website
"In December, the winger extended his contract with the Stags until the end of the season."

Can't believe Clarkeis being questioned. Him and Lapslie are the first 2 names to retain . After that I would add Maris , Bowery , Rawson , Gordon ( not at right back ) Knowles ( to see how he does ) and probably Charsley .
After that I'm struggling to not be too generous .
