Been told today that we have enquired to bring Conor back on a permanent deal. He has been told he is free to leave Leeds and clough took him to burton. Anybody else heard this

I have not but I think he’d be a great addition with the right coaching. Really liked him when he was here. Composed on the ball and had a good ability to
pick a decent pass/through ball.

He went to Burton too as you mention and so presumably NC knows him well.

He looked pretty good when he was here, I'd take him again. Probably be even better under Clough

When he left everyone said he wouldn’t be missed. Funny old world!

I was disappointed when he left. Good player, lots of potential and from what I can remember a decent attitude. Seem to remember there was a lot of discussion about whether he was better in defence or midfield. Do people know what position he played at Burton.

I’d like this. Rated him when he was with us last season. He’s a big lad, 6’4 (we could do with some more height in the team in my opinion), mobile and looked pretty comfortable on the ball. I thought he was better in midfield then he was at centre back, but him being able to play both positions is very useful too.

I liked him when he was here. Was decent on the ball, just in a horrendous side at the time.

Would welcome him back.

Would be a brilliant signing. Add some much needed height and muscle to the pretty lightweight midfield.
Hope this one is true...

Really liked him as a midfielder, not so much as a centre back. Would immediately become our best passer of the ball IMO.

He limped off in Dempster’s last match away at Crewe in December 19 with a hamstring injury and we never saw him again.

It says in an article that his wages are 7000 a week! Although whether that’s speculation I don’t know.

Would be a very good signing if we could get him. He’ll compete for a place at both centre back and centre mid.

I really liked him last time

Would be ideal in front of the back four as the holding midfielder. Big strong lad that can play a pass. Had two differing managers when he was last here and neither were renowned for football in their tenures.

Does anyone know if Burton wanted to sign him last season?

I don’t think Coughlan actually saw him. He went back to Leeds before Coughlan was brought in.

More likely to accuse of me whining about not having enough height in the squad

Far better than Charsley put it that way.

Wouldn't mind him playing alongside Clarke.
