Coops and the staff

Postby kevin kents tasce » Tue Nov 03, 2020 10:31 pm

Just watched Coops interview tonight and it sounds as though that'll be his last game.

Thought it was worth a thread to say that he and the other staff have been brilliant this week. He comes across as a really decent bloke and wasn't afraid to put his own philosophy into the team selections.

I have enjoyed the last two games more than I have any other this season and that's down to.the positivity and new found confidence in the team.

Well done Coops and the rest of the staff. An absolute credit to the club

Very well said. Thanks to Coops and his team for putting some pride back into our shirts again.

2 points from 2, sad that they took the lead in both and couldn’t hold on, but it’s a start.

Would be nice if some them could be kept on when the new manager comes in

Agree totally and the two performances have been the best of the season so far but will improve further.

Well done Coope and Co.

To me it definitely shows you thay GC was the problem more than the team. An inexperienced caretaker manager got more out of that team in the two games then Coughlan did in all the previous games.
Praise goes out to Cooper.

The past two games have shown what many on here knew, and that is that this assemblage of players could, if given the opportunity, play decent football. Thanks Coops for allowing the players to play.

He usually brings in Martin Taylor as GK coach and his brother Simon as chief scout, as least.

I doubt Coops'll lose his job with the Academy.

I'll give them their due, at least we look like a team who has had some attacking intent last two games. Especially last night where i thought for a good hour we were brilliant.

Some of the subs in both games have been suspect, should have brought fresh legs on against Walsall as we looked knackered and O'Driscoll was the wrong sub last night but apart from that its been very good.

Richard Cooper has been a very loyal No 2 to Paul Cox and Adam Murray and has done a great job building up the Academy. I'm sure he will keep his job. His wife, Laura, also does an excellent job in hospitality.

There’s no reason he won’t keep his job, he was just asked to step in while we brought a new manager in that was all.

Well done KKT for the post. A big thanks to Coops and Co. What a difference you have made. You have restored my faith in the capability of the players. The second half performance (apart from the Bolton goal) was very, very good.

Onwards and upwards.

I like cooper. He's stuck round through several different Managers, all of which seem to rate him.

So fantastic to read a unanimously appreciative thread for once. Yet another achievement for RC and his team.

Keep it up, guys. Stagsnet is a wonderful place when this happens!

Reviving this thread.

Had that been a league game then coops would have gained the same amount of points in 3 games than GC did in 9 league games.

Fantastic achievement.

The backroom staff have done an excellent job while we have been without a manager. Two hard earned draws and and a cup win at much bigger opposition leaves us in much better shape than we could have hoped for. It gives the new manager the best opportunity to hit the ground running.
