You never know how it’s going to work out, but from what we (realistically) could expect to attract in terms of manager, Clough is top of the list for me.

Am I still allowed to hate Notts Forest while Cloughie jr is here or do I have to pretend to like them

Clough is arguably the best manager we've ever appointed credential , experience and success wise and is an absolute perfect fit for us as a club and the type of manager I believe JR has been looking for all along..

I'm sure Clough and JR will have a wonderful working relationship supported by Carolyn ,Sharpe and the other directors of course....

He will be afforded whatever time he needs by us all (except the un educated) and is 100% our best hope of fulfilling JRs ambitions for our great club.

Go get em young man :mtfc:
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

Absolutely delighted with the appointment and the long term deal (if true).

Let's all do our bit now and rein in the expectations of immediate success.

A couple of seasons to build us up again and then we can go for it!

Clough is the stuff!

Seeing reports in the press he's signed a 3yr deal.

If he’s signed a 3 year deal you’d think it would have been released on the official MTFC site 1st before releasing it to the media ..

We cannot thank John and Carolyn enough for supporting their CEO in this appointment at time of massive uncertainty and an unpredictable future for the entire EFL this is a huge building block to appoint Nigel into our club. This is a phenomenal statement from this club about their plans and ambitions.Thankyou for all your help in supplying a massive piece to the MTFC jigsaw.

Have any of our players given any hint of being told about a new manager?
Or are they reading Stagsnet for the news :D

Just reported on Sky Sports News, confirmed in next 24 hours. Absolutely fantastic news. Mr and Mrs Radford with the help of David Sharpe have gone above and beyond and shone their true alliance and future to our club. With these unforeseen circumstances of the world this shows a real statement and although we cannot be there in person but real exciting times. Imagine the atmosphere for Cloughies first home game.

Immediate success with GC's bunch of misfits isn't going to happen. Success will be to finish the season looking forwards to playing EFL footy next term.
That's Cloughies only remit from me, owt else is a bonus.
