Taxi for GC

Postby BilsthorpeStag » Tue Oct 27, 2020 9:11 pm

Thought this guy was the real deal and have backed him all the way until tonight. O’Driscoll should have be replaced, how can a defender defend for 70mins without another booking coming his way. Simple management decisions, like so many others that prove he wasn’t experienced enough. Must have lost the dressing room as every league two pundit backed us this season. I imagine that all he did was scream at the players, none of whom seem to have any balls about them. They wouldn’t have responded to that type of management, too many need a cuddle not a b*ll*ck*ng. Pearce probably stood up to him. How much do we need a ‘Chief’ now?
Over to you John. Paul Cook please.

You never Know, who thought Evans would come here after Leeds? OR Holloway managing grimsby! Cook was heavily rumoured to be favourite for the Salford job.

Unless Mr Radford can offer Paul Cook a king's ransom he wouldn't consider Mansfield now. The same goes for the Cowleys and with the salary cap Mr Radford has his hands tied. Bear in mind how much it will cost to pay off Mr Coughlan and it's going to need some clever accounting. Nigel Clough might just be a possible and Nigel Adkins is still out there too. Either of them should be very capable at League Two level and might not be too expensive.

What’s Jim Bentley doing these days?

If anyone can win a relegation fight, it’s Jim. May be a good man to bring into assist and steady the ship.

The salary cap doesn’t include managers, as far as I’m aware.

The whole point of making a change now is to hopefully avoid a relegation fight, signing him would just be accepting it. Which is obviously ridiculous, and misjudged.

He’s at AFC Fylde - who he took down to the National League North last season :D

Whether you like it or not we have a relegation fight on our hands this season. Any half decent NL North side that's well organized and can pass a ball would relish playing us. Space was so easy to find for Barrow with our players stood watching and not tracking players. 4th goal wow, what is it five of our players in t'box marking nobody? Hey just pick your man unmarked on the edge of t'box Barrow for a free shot at goal

Very surprised and disappointed he failed. He can have no complaints as the majority of the squad were brought in by him.A few decent players but two absolute shockers in Bowery and Rawson. The new mnager will want to bring a few of his own players.Just hope they will be better than the aforementioned.

Read the bit about assist and steady the ship. And if you think we will not be in a relegation fight you are sorely wrong. The fight doesn’t start in March you know and you can win it at any point in the season.

He’s also about to have an operation, and has gone into isolation in advance of it.

Listening to Forest Green supporters when Rawson came here, he was one of the best c. backs they have had, and were disappointed he had left there.
