Very sad news,

I know he used to work the mez and the ground staff and always used to say hello every time i walked by him at the club even though he didn't know me.

RIP Fella.

Very sad news. He normally sat with his parents in the West Stand Upper next to the directors' box (North Stand side). The club was clearly a very important part of his life and meant a huge amount to him. It was brilliant he could work with Mez and the ground staff. R.I.P Woody my fellow Stag and cheer us on from the Great Field Mill In The Sky.

Terrible news he loved working at the Mill. I think he’d only just gone back after a bit of a lay off. RIP mate you will be missed.

Gobsmacked. I only had him on the bus last Friday taking him home to Warsop. First met Chris way back in the mid 70s (same age) as his Dad, Godfrey worked with mine in Edwinstowe up near the cricket ground at NCB Scientific Dept. We went to Sheff Weds I think and Chris came too, about 76.
As has been said this is a chance for t'players to say,'WE WON IT FOR WOODY'!!!

RIP Woody. I never met you, but reading this thread makes me realise how great the Stags community is, and how it looks out for each other. We all share something in common. The Stags. They might frustrate us a lot of the time, and we fans might disagree a lot, but we’re all Stags, and I wouldn’t change a bloody thing.
Come on Stags, win it tonight for Woody!!!
