Is this saying that Stoney is the worse keeper in the league?

Backs up the opinion that we need a new No.1 next season. I think it’s quite widely accepted that Stech doesn’t look like he’s going to be the man for Clough (and I don’t think many people will argue with that), and Stone just isn’t at the required level yet.

Stone is a fine understudy. A decent, young keeper that nobody minds playing in some cup games whilst he’s improving and no major concerns if he’s called upon for a spell in the side through injury say, but we need somebody much more solid next season.

Hladky is the best keeper in the league I think, by quite away. I believe he came from the Scottish leagues, where Clough has been known to shop in the past. He may have been on his radar this time last year.

I saw him a couple of times live including for St Mirren against Celtic. He had an eventful game to say the least. A fire cracker was thrown on the pitch by some Celtic idiots and it landed right near him, it made us all jump. But he made some brilliant saves including a penalty save too.

Not League Two related, but another example of data and football crossing over.

So a side like this:

Stech
Perch Rawson Sweeney Benning
Maris Clarke
Gordon Lapslie Bowery
Reid

Should statistically be our best side. I'd be happy if he played that side on Friday. We'll except that Sinclair should start instead of Reid on merit.

I think Quinn ought to get in our best side given his form since coming in. He's my 3rd highest ranked player this season. He only made hs debut in the 5th of our 5 game winning run which is probably why he doesn't feature highly in the points per game.

Stephen Quinn is my top rated player now followed by Ollie Clarke, George Maris and Farrend Rawson.

Stephen Quinn has been our best player since starting against Southend away in January but we have only picked up 3 wins in 15 games (or 2 wins in 14 games) since then. That means he's only on 1.0 points per start. P15 W3 D6 L6

Jason Law has also generally played well in the 11 games he has started but we have only won two of those games. P11 W2 D4 L5 (0.91 points per start)

I agree with the comments about Quinn he has been really good.

To have him, Lapslie, Clarke and Maris fighting it out for the three midfield places is brilliant for our level.

Dapo Afolayan has been a revelation for Bolton. Has he vastly improved or were his talents just not realised by Dempster?

If we'd have held on against Bolton at home they would be in the playoffs and we would of finished 11th.
Who knows where we would be if that break for the weather had not happened.

Probably where we are now, with Bowery/Reid as our Dynamic Duo up front we were never going to score enough to win enough games to challenge in reality.
