Did Benning not play at Northampton?

No, we has an unused sub.

Just added some graphics to the piece as well.

Great stats Sam.

I had both Rollin Menayese and Farrend Rawson easily in double figures for headers won. They were my Men of the Match followed by Corey O'Keefe and Andy Cook. If I had to pick one I would go for Menayese because he brought the ball out of defence well and his passing was good.

Thanks Darren.

Whoscored only counts 'contested headers' rather than 'uncontested', so that may be where the difference occurs.

Interesting that Charsley’s average position was further forward than Bowery. It’s been a while since we’ve had a midfielder that wants to make runs in behind. For me it was his best game for us yesterday. He’s not the most technically gifted, but he can press and win the ball back good areas, and his forward runs will give defenders plenty to think about. Let’s hope he builds on yesterday.

Excellent stuff. It's very useful when comparing your view of the game versus someone else's.

Thanks Bradders! It’s all about opinions, that why we love it.

Brilliant stats....I look forward to seeing these every week now.

How long does it take you to knock something like this up ?

Great work anyway. :coys:

Thank you!

It took a couple of hours, but because it was the first game, the team total stats for this week were a lot easier to find, so envisaging it may take a bit longer as we go along.

xG: Mansfield Town 1.7 Tranmere Rovers 0.2

A clear xG win for the Stags and 2 points dropped.

Jordan Bowery not listed in top xGs which is surprising.

Andy Cook 0.7
Mal Benning 0.3
Harry Charsley 0.2

Rather annoyingly, Whoscored have updated the stats on their website (assume they must go through the games again), so I have updated the article accordingly.

A few highlights :

Maris now top passer (41) with top accuracy (82.9%). He is also in top 10 L2 of dispossessed (4 times)
Harry Charsley in top 10 of bad touches which lose the ball (5). It was noticeable during the game that his first touch was poor.
Stags top of L2 for % aerial duels won (64.8%). Interestingly, James Vaughan won the most aerial duels in the league (12), but still lost more than he won (14).
