I don’t understand why people (I won’t say fans) would want to steal from the club.
And if that sounds self-righteous, I’ve no intention of apologising for it.

Cos its free... Thats the only reason.
And yes it does make you sound abit self-rightous... Its like saying your only a 'real fan' if you give x amount of money to the club.
Is there a price threshold in which you have to pass to be classed as a 'real fan'? My dads been a stags fan since 1962 and watches all the games on blockbuster for free like me.. does that mean hes not a 'real fan' in your eyes?.

MTFC is a business, the product it sells is football. You pay at the turnstile or at iFollow to buy that product. I you take the product without paying you are a thief, just the same as if you walked into the club shop and lifted a couple shirts.

Now you may say that's different because someone else did the stealing and you are just receiving the product someone else stole. This is also theft.

Have you ever knowingly broken a law? Gone too fast in your car, parked on double yellows, paid a tradesman cash in hand, smoked cannabis, told a Porkie on your insurance quote or tax return?

It’s not dissimilar to the situation with the bbc license fee. I’m well over 75, and a few years ago I could watch bbc (and other terrestrial channels) for free, having paid for the privilege for 50+ years. Then the government decided to change the rules. I could pay full whack and watch terrestrial channels with a clear conscience , or not bother and hope there was no knock on the door. (I’ve never subscribed to Sky because of Murdoch - I know, he doesn’t own it any more, but that was my choice, and I don’t condemn anyone who does.)

So I pay for my license, because the relatively few programmes I watch I do realise have to be paid for. I think Garry Linacre is grossly overpaid, but the BBC have to pay a lot of money to show live or recorded football, and I wouldn’t want to be deprived of the pleasure of watching.

I realise I’m lucky because I can find the £10 to pay for my pass, in full knowledge that that will go to the club. And goodness knows, with no money coming through the turnstiles, the club desperately needs every penny it can get.

So if that makes me sound self-righteous I’m sorry. I do think that if we watch away matches on iFollow, we should pay for the privilege. I’m so grateful to John that I have a club I can support, and the least I can do is pay my little contribution.

Only last week I got a £30 fine for driving in a bus lane in Bristol (I had permission from HMG to be in Bristol, just not in the bus lane) do the crime, pay the fine.

No one is ever 100% blameless in their life, but most people aren't that shameless that they would come on a club's forum bragging that they are stealing from said club, while implying that those of us that don't steal from said club are mugs.

Not bragging or implying anything to anyone. You're implying I don't pay for iFollow. I hate paying for it. It's awful and not worth the money. I'd rather just give the club a tenner a week than deal with iFollow. I still do though. Can't wait to be back in the stadium paying full whack. Just making a point that very few people are without misdemeanor.

Fans love to have a say about the club ground development, the academy, players of quality, and supporters are a part of the football community, and fans living away from Mansfield
still feel part of the club, A lot of revenue is lost with no fans, and on ifollow a whole family can watch for £10, which is fine and proper, but 1 adult and 2 children would cost around £40
The point i am making is £10 to watch your club is only putting a plaster on a gaping wound.
So any one who is streaming for free is letting your club down, watch other matches for free if you must, but give your club the much needed cash.
P, s i must inform anyone it is illegal

Way to many do-gooders on here... Next youll be telling me youve never:
Copied your mates zx spectrum & c64 games onto cassette
Taped the top 40 off the radio
Brought a dodgy vhs copy of ghostbusters 2 from donny market
Chipped your ps one
Dowloaded a film from piratebay
Watched pornhub.

Bottom line is for me (likely this wont be a popular opinion!) ive been paying JR's massively over-inflated match day ticket & food kiosk prices (prices charged for lg2 football nowadays is a disgrace) for years & years this is my little way of clawing some of that back!.

Can anyone help, please? I have no problem accessing the match video from the app on my phone, but when I connect it to my tv, I get the commentary on the tv but the picture only on my phone. Very puzzling. My broadband is dodgy and I’m changing the provider. Would that help?

I'm a bit of a luddite but I can guarantee the problem is yours, not ifollow's. I follow is a wonderful product, Martin says so.

Dodgy reception, your fault.
No picture, your fault.
No commentary, your fault.
Wrong picture, your fault.
Wrong commentary, your fault.
Paying but getting no service, your fault.
Etc, etc, etc.

I'm sure you get the picture, or maybe you don't, but then that's your fault. ;)

That's that answered, well said chip.

You are basically stealing from the club you support at this most difficult time.

Sue, I find it easier to watch via my TV's internet browser, just log in as normal. I've tried to connect my android phone to the tv but it's never worked. I doubt it is your broadband unless it is really, really slow.

it doesn't sound like it is anything to do with your broadband Sue. It sounds like it is the process of connecting your phone to your TV. I have never attempted this so I think we'd need some advice from someone who successfully does this.

None of the above. I'm not a do-gooder but I'm also not a thief.

If you think the matchday prices are too high, don't go.

If you think the kiosk prices are too high, don't use the kiosks. Other food outlets are available.

By your logic any time you feel something is slightly overpriced, rather than take you business elsewhere, you'll just go in and steal it.

I'm not implying anything about you, unless you are also of the opinion that it's okay to steal revenue from the club on the basis that JR is loaded?

Once I switched devices I've not had a single problem with iFollow & compared to going to game 'for real', especially away from home it's cheap as chips.
