Yes he’s got pace and power, don’t think he’s the best aerial threat given what I’ve read from fans of other clubs.

Finishing isn’t his best attribute but he works hard and isn’t selfish. He will be very good partnering a Maynard type striker (maybe Doyle, who’s not hard working but knows where the net is). Fans of other clubs seem to rate him especially at league two level.

Having watched those goals I am now more enthused than when I first looked at his stats.

He seems to have the knack of finding space in the box and making the most of it. I think that is something we have missed for a few seasons now and I've not been confident our strikers will score when the ball comes loose to them. This lad just seems to stick it away. Of course the clip doesn't show how many similar chances he fluffs and may be flattering to deceive but he looks worth a chance.

Jordan Bowery will suit GC's style if he works hard and presses from the front which is why I expect Andy Cook to leave the Stags this summer. GC helped to revitalise Jonson Clarke Harris' career at the Gas so lets hope he can do the same for Jordan Bowery.

GC said he "has the attributes of what we are looking for."

Coggers has a way to play, so has identified players to play in roles. It'll be considered. Not like last season's thoughtless recruitment.

I think the fact we are signing players at this stage is a massive positive.

I'd be amazed if he hasn't got the same agent as Calvin Andrew put it that way

I don't think this is a bad signing at all. His record at this level for Crewe was pretty decent (1 in 4ish - which is comparable to Danny Rose). If we keep Maynard then I think we are just one decent striker away, otherwise we will probably need a couple more up top.

Welcome to the club, Jordan!

I'm happy with this signing. Not your out and out goal scorer but definitely a good focal point. Local lad so should settle quickly and despite being around a while he is still only 28 so has a few seasons left in him.

Looks very much like we are setting ourselves up to bully a few teams next year, which I will enjoy as I always thing were a bit soft.

Looks like the sort of player we’re missing even if he’s not a “big name”. We’ve had no real pace from an out and out striker who ran the channels since Greeny. How many times have we seen Rose flick it on to no one.

He’s got something to prove and there’s no pressure on him from the fans. I’m more apprehensive about the Doyle rumours than this signing. Good luck Jordan!

BBC Radio Nottingham's tweet said he was a free transfer. Perhaps MK Dons were just looking to get him off the books to free up a salary.

He couldn't bully an under 9's centre half even though he looks like a physical specimen. Honestly, please lower your expectations. I can't see him starting many, surely he has to be a backup option.

From the clips he looks quick, most of the goals were scored from close range so seems to get in the right place. Very few headed goals.

Of course the video doesn't show the ones he's missed.

I hope he does well for us.

I think those on this thread who judge a player on other teams supporters comments without seeing the guy play are suffering from lockdown phobia or some other illness of the mind.

Give the guy a chance, players often fit in at a new club where they didn't fit at a previous club. GG, our manager wanted the lad, the lad is obviously prepared to plat GC's way, Cook isn't.

Stags have a habit of brining strikers who haven't done much and they hit their prime here...

barker and green weren't prolific before joining us. Some score goals where ever they go.. others do it at a club that suits them with the right manager. I think he will do well here.

Also we have signed another player, no idea who but could be announced today, probably that other striker Reid?
