Rhys Bennett

Rhys has posted on Twitter that he is leaving Peterborough. I know people usually moan about having ex players back but he would be a great addition to our defence if we could get him back.

A back 3 of Bennett, Bostwick and Sweeney wouldn't be a bad start to rebuilding the squad!

Obviously all hypothetical, but we can but dream

I always thought Bennett was a very tidy footballer who was composed and patient on the ball.

Although he's been playing in L1, I don't think he was highly rated at posh and he shouldn't be beyond our grasp this summer. Maybe we think we can do better?
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Bennett was superb on the ball for a L2 defender, be a good signing for anyone in this division.

Exactly, if he had become the player he was talked up to be by, ‘Steve which way to Beijing Evans’, he would have followed Steve to Gillingham.

Thanks for the memories Rhys, but no thanks for the future. Let’s just see what pans out over the summer.
