He's a pantomime villain. Football needs them. He's always taken the piss with a smile so I don't really have a problem with him. If he came here, I'd find it funny. Football takes itself too seriously sometimes.

Palmer's a southern softy. He'll want to stay down there.

Agree with you we need some players bringing in.

Whether Cook stays or goes, we look like we'll struggle for goals.

At the moment the reliance on goals looks to be heavily placed on Reid, and it's not guaranteed he will find the step up easy.

I think we also need another two more quality midfield players. Alex Woodyard would be ideal.

We also need a left sided midfield or attacking player to replace CJ and a back up left back or wing back for Mal Benning. The advantage and strength of CJ was that he could play in all those positions.

We need to be realistic where we are and that’s finishing at the bottom end of Division 4 this season , players will look at that and judge that against other options available.

According to wiki, 24 goals in 125 games for blackpool. This place would meltdown if we'd have signed him

Wonder if gelling will be a problem for Bolton, they've pretty much got a brand new team. It's like someone playing FIFA.

And most of the Bolton fans seem to think they'll 'piss the league'.

We shall see.

I don't think we'll struggle for goals. Rose will flourish under this manager and Reid looks decent. We've also now got midfielders who can score.

We might, but we also had a bit of a foundation to build on with Sweeney, Benning, Charsley and Rose... might not be a brilliant foundation by all means but not a brand new team entirely

No we do need better. His goal returns aren’t high enough for someone who’s got no pace, is below average at link up play and isn’t a target man.

The strikers will need better service than they did last season as to your point though, hopefully we bring in some more creativity and flair in the midfield and wide areas.

I’m desperate to see who else we sign to play in the middle of midfield to start with Clarke.

I don’t think goals is necessarily an issue. Rose has shown when fully fit he can get 10-15 goals, Andy Cook the same. Bowery I would expect between 8-12. Reid is completely unknown. As long as the likes of Clarke, Maris, McLaughlin (if signed) weigh in with some goals that shouldn’t be an issue.

If we can become effective from set pieces that would be a big bonus. Lincoln’s top scorer when they went up was Akinde on 15 goals, 9 of which were penalties.

Every year i think we’ll start the season with rose on the bench and every year he works his way into the team.
