Great collection! And is that Lee Peacock with the dodgy hair cut (near top left)?

:D Spot on

Interesting fact on MTFC section

Lee also featured in the first ever game using a Fluo Flare fluorescent football against Barnet F.C. on 19 November 1998, winning 5-0. He also is the first player to get a hat-trick using the fluorescent ball, and in tradition in football he was the first player to take the ball home with him.

Have the full set from arguably our best ever season winning promotion as Champions from Division 3 in 1976/77 . They were in the style of the Preston NE one on second bottom row of the picture . Curiously the Walsall one is just in blue and white as I seem to remember there were issues with the printers who had no yellow/Amber .

Yes, Lee Peacock, who I believe lived in Kirkby, near Mutton Hill.

Great collection - Brings back many memories.

By the way - who is the player in the bottom row, middle pic? (I could never work out who it was).

Doug O'Connor. He obviously didn't play in 76/77, but it is definitely him. You can also tell it is the 74/75 shirt.

Met him at Shaw Lane a couple of years ago.

Doug was unlucky that Clarke n Eccles clicked like they did, and were very durable athletes. He never had a chance

Darlington and Hartlepool would be my guess as we could be compared to these in terms of size, attendances, demographics etc
First match : 04.01.1975 home v Cambridge Utd F.A.Cup 3rd Round 1-0 Clarke
