Alistair Smith collapsed with a fever

I know this is mentioned in another thread, but I think it's worthy of its own thread.

Get well soon Alistair.

The elderly and those with underlying health problems are most at risk but there will always be exceptions. Scary this can happen to a young man. Hope he recovers swiftly.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

If it's Covid Alistair trains at RH with 1st team so they'll be worried too.

Whether it’s covid or not it’s a scary experience. Best wishes to Alistair & family.

yes it was on the official site last week. Doesn't look as though it made it to the messageboard, but I did put in on Latest News page

Update on midfielder Alistair Smith
mansfieldtown.net, Tues 17 March 2020

Mansfield Town can confirm that midfielder Alistair Smith is ‘feeling much better’ and has showed significant signs of improvement.

The 20-year-old, on loan to Conference North outfit Kettering Town, was taken unwell on Saturday before their match at AFC Telford.

Alistair was instructed by Mansfield Town’s medical staff to self-isolate, in line with government advice, and told to report any deterioration or development of new symptoms.

Thankfully, Alistair has showed significant signs of improvement, but will remain in self-isolation for the time being, in line with government advice.
