Cannot see the OAPs matching their wages, unless of course they take a drop in wages for a two year contract, real shame about Pearce though

Wouldn't they have to pay a fee too? Unless both parties agree to rip up the contracts

Imagine if we lose two of our best players to our local rivals in the league below whilst we’ve got the corpse of Neal Bishop still starting every week...

Not bothered about losing them if they don't want to be here. More interested in who we'll bring in to replace them as they'll need replacing.

Don’t want Pearce to leave at all let alone go back to County.

Nothing until the end of the month if Carolyns instagram story is anything to go by. You’ll have to scroll through 47 pics of her pouting and pushing her fake chest out first

if its true then you would have to ask why they are prepared to drop to non league?no offers from league two speaks volumes, time to ship out the deadwood and move on.

Fair enough - but they are two of our best players - so I expect suitable replacements, especially given our weakness in defence & midfield.

We don’t know what offers are on the table, but location, length of contract, size of club... plenty of variables could come in to consideration. That said I would be shocked at Pearce dropping down.

It would seem strange though losing them to a team in the league below... Pearce is better than Sweeney and Preston, and Mellis is better than Macdonald, Bishop, Tomlinson and Smith (some real dead wood in there!), so it’s just annoying that it’s gone this way.

Hoping it’s nonsense and they act on Coughlans words regarding trying to get back in to the squad... it would be in our best interests.

Has to be... if it was a decision made on footballing ability then I’d be concerned about Coughlans judgement!

Hopefully he’s got a couple of decent lads in the pipeline, sure need it!

I think Pearce will end up staying.
He’s been watching the youth team tonight and that indicates to me he’s doing what a club captain should do. Support all levels at the club.
Mellis ego won’t allow him to drop into non league

quite funny that Pearce was in nandos at about 5ish with sweeney and Tomlinson. Could over hear them talking about training,Pearce also turned up in his Mansfield coat. So don’t think that’s true at all
