The utter tripe we've seen this season is not only making the fans turn against the management, but also each other, and the board. A promotion tilt looks impossible.

It's tearing us apart.

What a horrible place to be.

What exactly did the Scottish manager achieve at our club?

Progress from AM. Attacking, entertaining football and a belief in the stands we could get out of this division. DF then did the same finishing 4th.

It’s disappointing that it’s 1pm the following day and he still hasn’t been sacked.

But in terms of promotion nothing.

Yet the board and fans expect promotion under JD, a rookie manager !

The board expects promotion. Why shouldn't we? Dempster said promotion in pre season as well.

Dempster reminds me of Danny Mitchely (or however his name is spelt) in the sense that he's dynamite at youth level, but was found wanting in league football.

So in your whole work history you've never known any underperforming member of staff and thought/said they need sacking. What a saint!

Our club is bigger than Dempster, Glover and Broughton put together.

Whether or not you think that Dempster should be 'offered a job back with the YT', 'replaced', or 'sacked', it's all just semantics: no one wants him as our manager.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

You asked what was achieved. I answered progress. Progress from 4th would be promotion. But we will never know now. One thing for sure this season is not progress on or off the field.

Progress in getting nearer the goal of promotion, yes. Progress in achieving promotion, no.

In fact all the managers since Paul Cox have been "failures" because they didn't achieve the task given to them which was promotion.

Paul Cox fulfilled his task and got us promotion.

Looks like I'm in good company by voting to keep JD (at least for now) with the ten Directors making the 11 for keeping him.

But when you add in people who don't vote on this website there is a clear majority to keep JD (something like 52% to 48%)

13 on coaching & support staff
30 backroom staff
28 senior team players
11 senior ladies players
6 reserve players
23 L2 Managers (who have a vested interest in JD staying as our manager)

Tisdale is still without a club, but won’t be for long, go get him JR

we can still make something of this season but we have to act quickly.

MK not exactly ripping up league one. Exeter fans were pleased to see him leave. Just saying.

Most would have accepted that if JR hadn't said the clear ambition for the season (on more than one occasion) is and still remains promotion.

If it's a season of consolidation then they should manage fans expectations. Treat people like kids they ultimately behave like them when things don't go to plan. Had expectations been appropriately managed I doubt the level of toxicity would be anywhere near the current levels.

This manager would have disappointed whatever the expectations were. Most expected him to fail from the moment he was gifted the job,and to date, he's let nobody down. If it was so cut and dried that Flitcroft was a failure at the end of last season, why is he still in our clubs employment.
