Afolayan on for Mellis. Perhaps a precaution because he's been clattered a couple of times.

We need Mellis in the starting 11.... I know some don't like him because he plays football on he floor and doesn't tend to rush around like a madman but he is the sort of player we need.

If JD can find a way to get him playing at his best, along with CJ and find room for Khan... we might actually turn a corner. Also nice to see that he's stated he will try and sort centre mid out in Jan.

Drop Khan for CJ, Khan flatters to deceive.

How many Stags?

Excellent to see only 485 turn up, hopefully the EFL/FA will revert this back to its original format.

Is this Otis Khan who has probably been our best player this season? If not, he’s 100% in the top 3.

As we finished second that should mean an away tie next. Unless the u23 sides can’t be drawn at home...does that mean we would be drawn at home?

We won 2-1. Afolayan expertly winding the clock down at the end.

Great performance. Fully deserved. Could have and perhaps should have scored more. Positive subs at the right time. Out of context of the season that's great. In context let's hope we don't go back to ultra defensive for long periods.

I know it’s only the EFL trophy but let’s spare a thought tonight for The One, Yorkshire stag, Arsene Wengers Coat, Chris uk Nottm , Old Ram Stag and others I can’t be bothered to mention.

Must all be devastated that we won

Mellis is the most gifted footballer we have .Him and Maynard should always be on the pitch.
