It was a very poor save but that cross should never have been allowed in the box. The players switched off for five minutes after the two red cards. I’m not sure Stone is better, but Bobby is an upgrade.

Sorry if I missed it but does anyone know why Bobby O wasn't even on the bench yesterday?

Are you suggesting that we should chuck a keeper that hasn’t played since December into the first team?

Logan could’ve made a better decision for the save that led to the goal benning didn’t react in time to the man he was marking.

Could it be that Bobby thought his performance on Tuesday night warranted selection against Oldham and that, when Conrad was preferred, he threw a mardy? Just a thought!

No place in the 18 for Bobby Olejnik, who returned from injury in the Leasing.com Trophy. No news whether Olejnik was injured or not, that will probably have to wait for the midweek press conference.

Indeed. What a bone uninformed bit of silly speculation.

Tighten your corsets lads. Provocative tongue-in-cheek comments don’t alway get received well.

Penalty decision was shocking but Dapo goal should have never stood either.

I'm only guessing when I say I think he means it was offside. My first reaction from the QLE was to look at the linesman as I jumped out my seat.

You will have had a better view of the line from your seat I imagine Martin.

I assumed he meant because the player went down with a head injury so play should've been stopped.

Fage tried to bring Maynard down and didn't succeed, so the referee played advantage. It didn't look as though it was a head injury initially so you can see why the ref played on.

Agree with you Martin, but that's what I think he's referring to. Strictly speaking, had the referee noticed the head injury then play should have been stopped, so you can see where he is coming from.

Referee didn’t see it but the blokes head bounced off the pitch viciously, play stopped immediately if spotted.

Referees need to be spotting that too, concussion is no joke.

The fourth official definitely should've noticed, you can understand how the ref may have missed it.

Have to say, hang on a minute, there was no clash of heads, no feet in the air etc, the guy unfortunately fell awkwardly, how the hell can anyone expect the referee to spot a head hitting the dirt.

Pure nonsense.

Agreed.

It is 6 seconds from the kid hitting the deck to the ball going in the net. The ref & lino would both have been following play. Even if the 4th official had spotted it as a head injury, I doubt he'd have called it before the ball crossed the line.

It was a very odd incident to end in concussion. Credit to Pearce for spotting it.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

It’s pretty simple if there’s a head injury you stop play, I do understand why it was not spotted but going off the rules I’m pretty sure that should have not stood.

Don’t worry even without those two goals it was still 4-1 :)
