How about a ditty to the tune of when the boat comes in

You all smell of fishy
And your town is sh*tty
You all smell of fishy
Cos you bathe WHEN THE TIDE COMES IN.

I hope you won’t be teaching your daughter such awful language :D :D

It was her that suggested it.

Absolutely buzzing that everybody who spent their money to get behind the boys got rewarded with a magical moment.

Is there any better feeling than a last minute winner away? Sex doesn't compare.

I know we had pre-sold 600 tickets, but there looked to be far more than that there. Does anyone know the official figure?

There was at least 2 extra to that total. I asked for 2 adult tickets in the away end - wearing colours so pretty obvious of where we wanted to sit. The young lady in the ticket office said "there's only seats on the front row, is that ok?" I didn't question it but thought that was odd. Later a steward outside the away end looked at our tickets bemused and said "they must be moving some away fans into a block on the side." It was only the turnstyle man who noticed the error and we had in fact tickets for the Youngs stand - but he didn't care too much and let us through. Then I had to explain the situation to a steward trying to seat us inside and eventually just sat where we wanted.

Whoever the group of lads who came in close to kick off and stood to the left hand side of the stand, I take my hat off to them. They did not stop singing for the lads.

A visit to Willy's Micro Bar and Brewery which brews its own beer. They did not have the football on the last time I went there so I popped into The Smugglers which was also a decent pub. There is also a Wetherspoons in the Old Town (Coliseum Picture Theatre) and the Nottingham Hotel. There are also a couple of pubs at the train station - No 1 Pub and No 2 Refreshment Room. Fish and Chips from Ernie Becketts or Steels or numerous other places including on the pier. You can then walk back along the sea front towards Blundell Park, climb over a small wall and cross over the railway bridge and you are right outside the away end.

I think the Stags fans who go on the SSA coaches normally drink in the Blundell Park Hotel opposite the ground. There is also a bar inside the ground - Scotties.

Hi,

GTFCfish on another forum mentioned that this bridge is now closed:

Any Mansfield fans who post on Stagsnet can you let this guy know that the bridge he talks about that takes you straight to the away end is now closed off so anyone going that way will have a very very long walk back down the seafront and down Grimsby Road to get to the ground.

Walked down Grimsby Rd after fish and chips in Steels Corner House. I could see quite a few SSA regulars eating their fish and chips outside Ernie Becketts. I went to pay at the away turnstile near the Findus Stand and was then told I had to walk back around the ground to the turnstile in the Main Stand where I discovered that the railway bridge was blooming open. Had a nice walk back along the sea front with a big smile on my face after the Chief's late winner.
