Merged threads

Last night someone started a thread saying Gordon had signed .fantastic open a thread and a confirmed signing is there .This morning the same thread is merged with another thread that goes 4pages of the usual gossip , speculation and I know you don’t type of thread .would it not be better to have left a confirmed signing in a thread of its own .

I didn't merge the threads and personally probably wouldn't have done as on balance I concur with your points one f. However, on the other hand, people were discussing the merits of the signing on two different threads, so that also leads to confusion in discussion, and we try to keep the board tidy in that respect. So, we will continue to merge threads where it keeps the board easier to follow.
