For me 50/50 is terrible. What’s the average prize? My estimate is £300. I also watch Sheffield Steelers and most weeks the 50/50 is above £2,000 for the winner. They have people selling them in the breaks etc. We could still be taking money at half time and draw it later. I’ve seen it over £10,000 when they play panthers. Admittedly that’s when it’s full ie 9,300 attendance. Surely on 5,000 gate we should be aiming higher than the pittance on offer.

Maybe they should add a few stags related prizes to encourage sales.

It wouldn't cost anything to give away match day tickets or family tickets as extra prizes and may encourage more to have a punt. If the prize is £300 that's odds of 600 to 1 against winning so most wouldn't bother. Chuck in a few free tickets and the odds fall dramatically.
