Liam Hearn

A little birdy has mentioned to me that Liam Hearn is now employed by Mansfield Town Academy since his move from Basford.

Not sure how much truth is in the statement, but if true it means both Jack Thomas and Liam move from Basford to the Stags.

If true that’s a good move for us.

I. Sure he took charge of some first team games last season too and did well.

Liam Hearn knows Coops well from his Eastwood and Stags days so no surprise.

He is still stopping on as a Basford United player.

Certainly knows first hand the trials and tribulations of football going from the hottest property to injury. Should be able to offer that advice

Wonder if he played a role in Cook coming here, knowing each other from Grimsby.

How many jobs does the lad want.

In all honesty would of loved to seen him have a injury free season with us. Had all the attributes of a 20 Goal a season striker.

I reckon he could probably still do a job from the bench like he says he believes he could do in his interview on iFollow.

He would have stuck away loads of the gilt-edged chances we missed last season.
