Makes sense, can’t imagine he’ll be on a big wage and gives us cover until Bobby is back. Don’t think we have anybody in the youth team capable of doing that so don’t mind it!

Wonder if the lad can catch a cross and not give penalties away?

Well blow me down. Who needs enemies eh....

I'm guessing, Adam, you can do both the above which leads me to ask when was your trial and subsequent offer of a contract?

Easy to criticise, innit, and big to be a keyboard warrior.

How's about you go to the training ground and square up and puff ya chest out to the new guy and ask him F2F?

To be fair JR, I doubt anyone on this MB could cut it as a pro footballer, but there's plenty of folk also doing jobs yer average footballer couldn't do too.

Our friend can still (ask to) approach Conrad F2F. I'm sure he'd appreciate the feedback, y'know, being young and new to a career in football as a goalkeeper...

Really? The norm? Ooh, do enlighten me!

See, it wasn't so hard to type, was it?! All you needed to type was this rather than the pathetic earlier post with no form of welcome added

What message does it give to our own academy players. Two youngsters signed, once again blocking the career path of our kids. Hope the new lads are that much better. Time will tell. Hoping we get some homegrown players through soon.

Do we have a youth keeper that’s genuinely good enough, and big enough to play league 2 football if Logan was to pick up an injury (or suspension) whilst Bobby is still out? Personally not sure that we do. The only one I know of is Wilson, but he doesn’t seem ready or big enough in my opinion.

With the CB there’s more of a case for it, but he’s still a young lad and I would imagine will be playing with the youth team more often than not. Youth players get released and picked up by other clubs all the time.

If there’s one person who’d know whether they’re good enough I’m guessing it would be dempster.

Would be good to see Graham play more for instance if fit come the start of the season.

Whether we’ve a keeper good enough?

Anyone any idea whether Sam is a good coach or not? To the outside eye it's a bit worrying that we seem to be handing out youth jobs to our ex-players just because they are ex-players. Wilson, Thomas, Hearn, McGuire just off the top of my head, are they qualified for the job?

There's been a lot of talk lately of giving our youngsters a chance and whether they are good enough. Are they getting the best coaching or are we just handing out 'jobs for the boys'?

Welcome to the club Stoney. Hopefully he can have a good preseason and push Logan for the starting position. It isn’t a given that Bobby will return to the same standard so it’s important to have another good option.

Agree with many about what message it sends our youth team but if we’ve just released some it would sadly suggest that they simply weren’t good enough.
