If it was permanent signing, you would have to say Walker. But as Dempster has said no fee is involved, if it’s Walker it will be a loan, so I would go for Maynard.

The only info is from Carolyn's instagram on Friday, where, in answer to: Is there going to be another signing today or is it next week.

Carolyn replied: next week now I’d say... worth the wait!

I know folk hate this kind of thing, and could mean absolutely nothing, but Walker changed all the Mansfield images on his twitter back to Forest yesterday so that doesn’t suggest anything with him coming back here is imminent. Would love for him to come back though, him and Cook would have the makings of a great partnership.

Would love Maynard also! Similar players just more experienced and Dempsters comments sway towards him more.

I would go for Walker. Proved he can score goals with us and knows the majority of the players/ staff. He may feel he owes us something after missing a penalty in the playoffs however I don’t think anybody holds that against him.

I'd be very surprised if it's Tyler Walker.

He proved himself in league 2 last season, so in his and Forest's interests, he needs to move up to a higher level.

Had we gone up last season we would have had a much better chance of him coming back this season.

A special relationship only goes so far. Maybe we will loan another player from Forest (not necessarily a striker ).

Turns out to be a young goalkeeper from Burnley. The third, a young defender also from Burnley.

Both good signings especially for the future.

Makes you wonder whether it's worth having our own academy though !
