I agree. It would be crazy to sign a keeper. Have one of the youngsters on the bench as cover. If CL is injured bring in a keeper on an emergency loan.
The priority is a striker ( possibly two ).
Definitely at least two!
Davies coming back from a long term injury carries a risk, likewise with Graham you could say but he does have youth on his side, but he is unproven. Rose isn’t a natural goalscorer either. 2 goal scorers needed, and if Hamilton goes you can easily argue 3. Goals win games, got to make sure we aren’t running short through the season. Priority position for sure as you say!
There’s no chance we're going to be going into the season with six strikers. Even five would be pushing it. I think we’ll sign two if Rose and Davies are staying.

I think we’ll sign 2 as well, but With Davies, Graham, and Rose there’s your 5. If we’re going to class Hamilton as a striker too there’s 6.
really don’t think it’s beyond the realms of possibility that we’ll add 2 more to those 4?
That said, I’m not sure Hamilton will stay and we may replace him with a wide player?

Why would a player in an established Premier League team earning at least £20,000 per week drop down to League 2 to earn £2,000-£3,000 per week? Not very likely. Could possibly be a young loan player.
Unexpected position?: Left wing back/full back, holding midfield player or goalkeeper?

If John is right it's a goalkeeper. He said nothing about it being an establish player, just an establish team. Guess it will be a young goalkeeper until January.

Drew Brees would be a nice addition. He could certainly hit our wide-receiver CJ very well.

You're just setting yourself up for disappointment when it's a back-up keeper no one has ever heard of.

It'll be from Leicester city.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Not every player in the Prem is on mega bucks. Especially not a surplus goalkeeper

It's pathetic. They must've re-tweeted the same interviews five times each.

I have a funny feeling in my fallopian tubes that it will be a player from Bournemouth or Palace. Given the way, MTFC accredited themselves against these clubs at youth level in those fixtures. Contacts and all that!

Aaron Ramsdale is a decent shout. Been on loan at Chesterfield and Wimbledon. Was in Sheff Utd youth academy, from Staffordshire so not a million miles away. Currently playing for Bournemouth.
Would be surprising though as he is highly rated.

It won’t be this signing, but with that logic in mind Sam Surridge from Bournemouth would be a decent option for a striker that may offer something different. 6ft 3, 12 goals, 4 assists in 22 games for Oldham up until January last season when he got recalled. I have just pulled that name out at random though, this isn’t anything I’ve heard for the record!

Jamal Blackman at Chelsea was said to be on £13,000 per week when he was on loan at Wycombe. Lewis Price was rumoured to be on £9,000 per week at Crystal Palace when he was on loan at the Stags and a figure of £4,000 per week was being mentioned for Jake Kean at Sheffield Wednesday. I can't remember if any figures were mentioned for Jordan Smith.
A Premier League club may loan us a keeper on the cheap but I imagine it will be on the basis that we will have to play him otherwise there will be "fines" or financial penalties.

3 pages deep and we're guessing goalkeepers.
Maybe there's no new signing then

Been to the club this morning to pick up season tickets and told despite the rumours there hasn't been a signing.

With all due respect, and you may be right, but they wouldn't tell you if there had been.
