Franchise (MkDonalds) FC

Postby Tippy Tappy Football » Thu Apr 18, 2019 12:41 pm

Paul Tisdale has confirmed that six players will miss the remainder of the season through injury describing them as ‘weird and wonderful ailments’. He confirmed that Alex Gilbey, Jordan Moore-Taylor, Joe Walsh, Baily Cargill, Mitch Hancox and Mathieu Baudry will not return to action this season but was quick to rule out training methods as a cause.

I don’t either but if it’s a toss up between us going up and MK staying down I want a County win.

We desperately need four points on them before the final day.

GD could also be an issue - with it being 5 better than MK and 11 better than Tranmere it's worth its weight in gold

A County win for me. I can live with them avoiding the drop as long as we go up.

Usually we all consider goal deference because we need sides to lose by x amount of goals and we need to win by y amount of goals.

This season we have a +5 to +15 goal difference advantage over the chasing pack. We have the best goal difference in the league bar Lincoln, who have the title in the bag.

+5 over MK Dons is not as big as it sounds though.

No, but a 2-0 win for us and a draw for them tomorrow takes it to 7 for instance - that is a big difference

Bigger than the -3 we usually have to work with.

At this stage it is massive. For it to matter now us and mk dons would have to have very similar results. This similar results would have to see mk dons score 6 more goals than we can.

We are only 1 point ahead of them

Not see than, just that he is a major doubt for this weekends games, but that could still be enough.

Agree 100% Edders. We need to win our games and if County or anyone else can do us a favour so be it.

Are you kidding? One extra point for MK Dons could see us stuck in League 2. Any satisfaction from seeing Notts go down would be more than ruined. A 5-0 win for Notts, please! That would also annoy their fans, who'd realise that they've just done us a huge favour.

Agreed Edders, Tess.

County win, plus wins for MaccTown & Yeovil. That's should be a final kick in thr plums for County & do us a massive favour at the same time.

Meanwhile, Bury still haven't been paid.

I doubt they would be annoyed, they would be on cloud 9. 100% of Notts fans would snatch your hand off for a 5-0 win (desperate times)
They need to look after No1 for the next month. Stags pending promotion should be the least of their worries.
In 2008 I didn't care if Chesterfield made the play-offs or not. If we needed a win that would help them then so be it.

It’s in our own hands. Let’s concentrate on US and getting behind the lads as we have all season and push them over the line.
If County do us a favour I’ll be the first to hope they stay up.

Of course the majority of Stags fans, including myself would love to see County go down, but wouldn’t complain if they beat MK Dons. As long as we go up that’s all that matters.
