not sure how Nicky Ajose is classed as our most valuable player when PNE put a 750k bid in for him

I would argue that the answer in Leagues 1 and 2 is generally yes although you do get some exceptions to the rule e.g. Accrington Stanley, Burton Albion, Rochdale, Yeovil Town, Dagenham & Redbridge etc

The top 6 teams in League 2 are probably in the top 7 for playing budgets. The one team that should up there based on playing budget is Notts County.

How is Walker not worth more than Ajose.

Theory is about right but the beauty of football is its still just 11 men against 11 others every week and anything can happe

This.

Money doesn't assure promotion or success for that matter. Look at Fulham this season for instance

Money goes a long way however too many other variables interfere such as injuries, suspensions, managers, personalities, tactics, weather (i.e. affecting pitch and atmospheric conditions), training, squad size (i.e. quality over quantity) etc.

Money helps but it’s not the deciding factor in having a good season.

Moneys doesn't guarantee anything. What is helps with is having a higher quantity of quality players. Sometimes.

If spent well, of course its a massive advantage. Buying top end players will give you a far better chance of going up. Surely this is a no brainer

This season does seem to display the budgets pretty well although I imagine the likes of Swindon and Northampton could replace one or two in the in the top 7 budget wise.
