I’d prefer Grant on the bench and Mini-Bish in the starting eleven. Mellis’s recent revival of form means we don’t need another “creative” in midfield.

I'd only play Mellis on Monday... get Macca or lil Bish in to make sure we're secure.

Great result today. Superb performance COYS.

We've had more than that a few times this season. In the position were in we should be looking at 6000+ for huge games like this.

Jake from Boza talking absolute pony as per usual.

5,000 Stags fans there today! They were loud and they were proud... at 1-0 up they spurred us onto our second.

Should have 6,000?! Don't be so entitled. In 2011 we played a home match in front of 1,200 home fans. Now look at us!

Credit goes to the Radfords and everyone who has got us to this position.

And everyone who attended today at Field Mill.

But then again it could be different and we'll show why we're top three and give em a pasting.

We got more home fans in a home game against Pompey in an attempt to get the play offs two years ago. We also got more home fans against Macclesfield in February.

If you think them two games were more crucial than today and deserved bigger attendances then you're the one talking pony duck.

So let's see who's the bigger draw for the floaters, once premier Pompey or Morecambe, hmmmm and wasn't Macc one of the freebie offers?

Thought today was the absolutely best result we could have hoped for, what a brilliant performance from start to finish.

Morecambe were the ideal team who offered absolutely nothing and we’re there for the taking.

Wouldn’t start grant against Oldham, he might be better saved for Stevenage next week, Oldham is a place we need workers like Tomlinson and bish.

Delighted with today, really thrilled.

I ignored your post before but I suppose if your posting again you're expecting some sort of reply.

I've been one of the most positive Stags fans throughout the season when others have doubted and have verbally debated this in person with negative fans at games who have been stood there slagging us off. Port Vale away in particular. I've said all along we will go up and we still will, not booed the team once this season.

I see Morcambes goalie played a blinder against us today .
He would've been well up for it , being an ex Spireite & Forest !

His save from Jones was one of the best I've seen in years at Field Mill.

We could have been 4 up by half time.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

A friend was asking yesterday how many assists Mellis had got, so I had a bit of time on my hands this morning and checked the highlights of the games so far and decided to note down how many assists players have got so far. I've used fantasy football rules so a player must of had direct involvement in a goal for example had a shot on target that fell to another player or won a penalty that resulting in a goal. This is including cup games.

Mellis 8.
Hamilton 8
Benning 7
Walker 6
Ajose 5
Khan 5
Sweeney 3
Pearce 3
Butcher 3
Rose 3
White 3
Grant 2
Preston 2
Elsnik 2
Davies 1
Graham 1
McDonald 1
Tomlinson 1
Bishop 1

For the stick Hamilton gets sometimes he really hasn't done bad to get 12 goals and 8 assists. He couldn't hit a barn door 2 years ago but has improved a lot. Mellis too, I don't even remember him doing anything under Steve Evans but DF is getting something out of him

And don't forget some, especially Hamilton would have more assists but for woeful finishing. He cut one back on a plate for Grant yesterday that he didn't score
