Great goal by walker.... CJ fast as lightening.

TOMLINSON also... actually playing the ball forward splitting the defence for the strikers to run on to... don't care how good grant is supposed to be he doesn't do this.

3 cracking goals, amazing that CJ was nearly through for a 2nd in the build up to their goal.

You can't say that.
Sounds like 11 players all putting a shift in, defending from the front, working for each other. Not 10 plus 1 wandering about not breaking sweat.

Grant doesn't play that deep usually so not his job to pick such passes. Mellis on the other hand! Hope Tomlinson starts next week, he looks good everytime he plays.

Absolute raspberry, can't you play through balls from a more advanced role.
Tomlinson kills the ball and picks a pass, all while Grant is still trying to control it and fancy flicks as the ball is lost again!!!

Grants obviously a good player he just might not fit in quite with the team when Tomlinson does.

Start the same midfield next week and go from there, can always bring grant on - maybe being dropped might make him think - you’d hope (on the assumption the “injury” was a smokescreen)

Highlights wise, the goal from walker was class.

Of course he needs to play through balls in an advanced role, I meant the goals we scored yesterday were through chances created where we bypassed where he would usually be. Tomlinson played his pass from deep so to compare him to Grant on that occasion is unfair. Grant has been off the boil last few games no doubt, but no way does he deserve the criticism he gets from most.
Either way, no changes for the next game except Sweeney in for Turner, got a real opportunity now! :coys:

Does anyone else think that if their goal hadn't gone in that Logan could have been sent off, he went straight through their player.

No.

It would have been a penalty though and a yellow card. There's measure in place that if a genuine attempt was made for the ball then a team shouldn't be "triple punished" ie red card, penalty and subsequent 3 game suspension.

Krys is in his 4th season with us now and I think he has a real affinity for the club he plays at. From the minute he walked in with his boots at Rainworth and said to Muzza, 'giz a game youth' he's been a great servant to Mansfield Town. He gives his all, and I hope he and the team can give us and Krystian himself a great memory at the season's end.
