Danny Rose on his injury and comeback

Danny Rose targets Northampton Town away for Mansfield Town comeback after horror injury
chad.co.uk, by JOHN LOMAS, Monday 25 March 2019

Mansfield Town striker Danny Rose has targeted the trip to Northampton Town on Saturday, 13th April for a potential comeback from his lay-off after suffering a double break of his jaw. Last season’s top scorer also severed an artery and lost a tooth and a lot of blood in a horrific collision at Newport County six weeks ago in which he found himself sandwiched between two opponents in a freak accident and needed metal plates inserted into his jawbone. But Rose is now feeling much better and said: “I am hoping to be back in three weeks.

“I have an appointment on Monday, 8th April and if the surgeon says it’s all good and he is happy with what’s happened I should hopefully be back for the game at Northampton the following week I hope.”

Great news for Danny and MTFC.
Could be a much needed option after a few games if we are in the play offs.

Speculation

Did this horrific incident start our decline with other players witnessing a very distressing scenario ?

We don't seem to have the bite and commitment since and it came not too long after White broke his leg.

Could a bit of counselling help the players to put it into perspective ?

It'd be good to have him back but he's not done much all season...

Danny to score the winner at MK to send us up then??

Will he still have that edge to go in with no fear now though, will it be at the back of his mind to shy away from contact?

From what i saw he was looking for a foul and went "limp"to appear as though he was fouled. Perhaps he will now not look for a foul and actually challenge properly.

Think it was good he wasn't needed yesterday imo, gives him another weeks recovery.
