Tyler Walker is the fourth highest scorer in the league, he has scored double the number of goals than our second highest scorer and 4 times the number of goals that Danny Rose has scored.

He was brought in to play alongside one of Davies, Rose or Graham; all of whom are now injured. He is now playing alongside a winger who doesn't go in for challenges or headers or an out of form lone striker who has lost any ounce of confidence he once had. We are pumping the ball up to him and expecting him to turn hoof ball into goals. He hasn't got a chance at the moment

Bang on GFB. I feel sorry for Walker and Ajose at the moment.

Neither Grant nor Walker (and Mellis for that matter) seem prepared to put themselves where it might hurt. They need a little bit of what Bishop and Rose have - BOTTLE.

I think had Davies been fit and in form like he was at oldham, where he managed to grab 11 goals in a raspberry side in league one, we'd of been that bit more of a threat up top. Same with Danny, its been a nightmare season... and Ajose who has scored a bucket load in this before looks hopeless at the minute.

Ive always liked the looks of Crewes Jordan Bowery, he's the big lad we could do with at the minute... Were being forced to play one striker at the minute, with no help no wonder Tyler is struggling.

He is not bone. If anything he is dejected with how we play. Banging it long for him to try and head against Centre half’s, playing up front with a partner that is either on loan from Panto (Ajose - though any of the other six dwarves may prove just as ineffectual), or will never be a centre forward (Hamilton) or out injured (Rose, Davies etc.) and with a team that is constantly changing without finding a winning rhythm.

Get back to playing it in behind the defence for him to chase where his pace, touch and finishing make him a cut above most in division two.

His best work yesterday was in the defensive third which suggests to me that whatever is ailing Tyler at the moment it isn't idleitis.

No but it makes me feel a hell a lot better after sitting 90+ minutes watching a handful of players that walk off the pitch at the end as though they've just walked on at the start...... Championship players your having a laugh

Hope they are reading this thread on the bus...should put a real spring in their step. Still don't get why Grant is being singled out.
His form has dipped but he would still be in the team IMO. Walker , as others have said, is lacking the right kind of partner.
Ajose has been massively disappointing (barn door comes to mind), Hamilton has gone missing, Mellis stopped creating, we have 3 strikers injured,so its no wonder our attacking options and goals have dried up.

Looks like Grant may not be playing tomorrow. He was in the gym this morning with Bobby and Jordan, doing rehab type exercises. I think the team bus had left for Exeter. Another injury?

You must of missed Tomlinson winning the ball back then splitting the Cheltenham defence for CJ to score, it was everything Grant fails to provide. Hard work, determination and an eye for a pass along the floor to run on to!!!!!!!!, just saying like

This.

Bish & Tomlinson alongside each other all day long then push either Mellis, Khan or Grant into the hole behind Walker

I'd take Walker at £150k, he would have to reduce his wages though

Grant, no room for him, he is a massive luxery at our level.

And as Jamie wanted the other day, he could take the ball in tight situations and glide away from the opposition as his touch and ability were on anther level to Grant, we really have missed him

Timi was the balance our midfield needed. Somewhere between the hard working Bish and the creative Mellis. Personally I'd have him anyday over Grant. Was he sent back to Derby, does anybody know. We certainly miss him.
