I thought Jones had a decent game today with Tomlinson....

As for Bish I think the season is catching up with him

Walker banned for 12 games, that seems harsh.

Is it not called passion and wanting the win more than anything?

Experience counts at these times, and the younger players today will learn from it

Both Walker and Tomlinson will, the hard way

Tyler was sent off for giving the lino the bird. I was bang in line with it and Tyler knew as soon as he did it that he was going off. Stupidity at it finest!!

Can you elaborate on “giving the bird”? Gesture or verbal?
Not that it makes much difference unless he can claim it wasn’t aimed at the linesman!

Surely that don’t warrant a straight ref though, however stupid that seems harsh?

CJ more of an attacking roll

Can't see a problem

Really ? Our leading scorer out for two games ! I certainly do, especially as we didn't sign a striker in January when we had two strikers injured. I hope I'm wrong, but we will struggle.

He gave him the middle finger, does that elaborate it enough....
Wouldn't matter if he said it was aimed at someone in the stands. It is still a sending off.

Spoke to Danny Rose after the game who said he would definitely not be in a position to return in the interim.

He also said that Tyler as ‘absolutely distraught’ in the changing room after the game.

After Tyler gave the Assistant ‘the bird’ when a throw in to Forest Green was given correctly, the Assistant agitated his flag to signal to the referee that there was something to bring to the referee’s attention. At which point Tyler put his head in his hands, pulled his shirt over his head and waited for the inevitable.

To be fair to Tyler, he knew he had done wrong in the moment, he had been petulant and let himself down and he did not argue with the referee. Upon being shown the card he left the pitch very swiftly without drama.

He played well today on a sticky pitch, against a centre half who spent most of the time trying to out muscle or out wrestle him, with a side that is rebuilding and beginning to gel again. He ran himself into the ground as did many others and deserved the goal. Don’t forget that he, when games are drawing to a close or time is closing, still gets himself in those positions when others wouldn’t.

He let the team down today, let his manager down today, let the fans down today and more importantly he let himself down today but I hope he is the sort of character to learn from it.

Don’t be too hard on him as this has been the only blot on his copybook this season.

Hope the rest does him good and he comes rating back soon.

It's a red card every day, one finger or two!

Preston and Tomlinson both went down injured in added on time.

Yep and he should be fined the maximum for it.

Petulant and stupid and agree to the letter of the law is probably a red card. But compared to many things you see on a football pitch week in week out I’m not convinced giving a player a straight red and a two game ban for that is warranted.

I’m not just saying that because it’s a Stags player, that’s my opinion on whoever it is.

Yep, but we needed two, as at that time we had two out for the season. We now have another out until at least April and one missing for the next two games due to petulance. So we have Ajose and CJ who to me are wide players.

It’ll be fine. It’s a little unhealthy to over-rely on Walker.

What gets me, and I’m not condoning his actions, but I see players verbally abusing refs every week and not a single card is given. It was a yellow at worse.

If that's the case, do we have any grounds for an appeal?

Actually thought the ref was very good today. He is a young up and coming ref and will be in the Prem in the coming years.

Once the Lino flagged then the ref had no choice but to send him off.
