None of which are effective in the air. I wouldn't describe CJ as a striker.

We are definitely short and need someone.

This - Rose was our plan B when we needed something different. At the moment all of our forwards are very similar.

As I've said before on here, CJ had his best spell of the season when he was playing as a striker, whether he is a striker or not.

Time will tell. I just feel we, due to injuries, are lacking options up front.

I agree CJ had more impact on the game playing further forward. I also agree that, as many have pointed out, we lack options up front especially in the type of forward we can deploy. I said in January that without Davies we lacked a plan b, Rose did that to some extent but not much variation any more.

Similar type of striker to what we already have. DF must be pretty annoyed that the two players who are different to Walker/CJ/Ajose are both injured for the long term.

I
I agree with you . In fact I'd start him up front with Walker and have Ajose on the bench .

Sasa Popin..... 6ft 8, 29 years old, Serbian, his contract ended Jan and not renewed, last seen in the Slovak league. Looks hard as nails, surely would relish a chance in the English leagues.

or Agbonlahor, in a Brummie press release, he says he doesn't want to retire, but wants a challenge.

Darren Bent, although I wonder on his fitness.

Kaylen Hinds, released in Jan from Wolfsburg, former Arsenal trainee. Played for England from U16 through to 21. Not much experience, but from what I read he has a bright future and is only 21.

Joe Mason, released by Wolves in Jan, not a big lad, but linked to Plymouth and Charlton.

But would he get a work permit after 29th March.

Joe Mason has turned down a chance to rejoin Plymouth Argyle. Think we got any chances of signing him ? Adams said that their have been interest in him, from League Two.

Had offers from League 1 and League 2 clubs, as he is bang on what we are looking for then I'd imagine one of those is us.

Darren Bent will not come here, he's pretty much retired. He was on 25K a week at derby and had the chance to carry on playing for Burton but cba. He gets between 5-10K per tv appearance

Think we will have to make do with what we have got and if Davies can maybe be back in in the next few weeks/ months or so might just survive but if Walker gets cropped then it will be very difficult.
Khan could maybe come in a bit more perhaps and regain some of his earlier form.

I don’t think that the scoreboard sponsors, Bapp for Bolts, will allow us to sign him.

Taken from Plymouths' version of the chad...

"Plymouth Argyle target Joe Mason has been linked with a move to League One rivals Charlton Athletic instead.

Charlton boss Lee Bowyer wants to bring in a free agent striker to add to his attacking options for the Addicks’ promotion push.

And 27-year-old Plymouth-born Mason has been mentioned as a potential signing for the south London club.

However, Bowyer has admitted to London news Online he is not sure whether Charlton owner Roland Duchatelet would allow him to add to his squad.

Charlton sold 14-goal striker Karlan Grant to Premier League club Huddersfield Town towards the end of the January transfer window."

I can't see us getting Mason. He is was with a Championship club and is turning down the likes of Plymouth and is being pursued by Charlton.

Contrary to what some posters have said - I think we definitely need to bring in someone to replace Rose & Graham. The trouble is finding someone fit enough. Although, if we are going to be using him mainly as a sub for the last 20 mins, then maybe we can find someone suitable - someone like James Constable, former Oxford striker (although I don't think he is available, but someone like that could be a good option).

Just a thought, but it may be worth giving Zayn Hakeem a go, probably last twenty minutes of a game.
