Imo from purely that angle I don’t see any malicious intent, just very unfortunate Hayden has picked up the nasty injury. What’s done is done, it happens in contact sports.

What frustrates is you see red cards like the Grimsby goalies against Lincoln where he gets the ball but studs raised and its a red. Then you have this one where its a yellow. No consistency.

Yes I agree. I would like to see another angle of this, maybe closer.

You can't see how bad it was from that angle, but CJ had a clear view and he looks about as animated as he gets. In the last 3-4 games there've been a number of bad tackles on our players and no sendings off.

This is from the Colchester forum.

'He repeatedly penalised Nouble when their Number 2 was dragging him down and then cleverly feining that Nouble was the miscreant. The same player was eventually carried off in normal time when Nouble got his revenge.'

Not enough from that angle for me. But he's done his ankle so something there.

Not even close to getting the ball but not the right view to say it should be red.

Slightly mistimed. No red. Just unfortunate

Having seen the tackle three x it looks innocuous enough and the ref can be forgiven for the lack of a red. However the body language after the tackle from the opponent shows the mens rea or intent connected with the tackle and force behind it. Only the player will know the intention or lack of it but Karma needs no replay. The Stags players nearby show concern and distress seconds after the tackle esp Danny and. CJ

My immediate impression too. You can clearly see that Nouble is on the verge of completely losing it. He got frustrated and flew into the challenge. I am not saying he deliberately meant to hurt Hayden, but I don't think he was anything like in control of what he was doing.

I think he was clearly "endandering an opponent" and "reckless", so a straight red for me.

I think his reaction when walking away says it all.

It appears that he had totally lost it.

I hope in the aftermath, and the realisation of what he has done, he has apologised to HW.

in his interview after the game, Nouble said he knows Hayden and would be sending him a text.
