DF usually sticks with a winning team, so likely be the same as last night, but who knows

I'd have that team, but have CJ and Grant on the same line, behind the front two, slightly wider, but not as wide as wingers.

I think we’ll win if we go 4 3 12
I think Flitcroft will stick to 3 5 2 (or 3 4 1 2) with White missing out to CJ at RWB and Grant behind the front two. He’ll then switch it later on to your formation/team, similar to several times this season, depending on how we are doing. Rose and another to come on later to freshen it up.

Smithy
White Preston Pearce Sweeney Hamilton
Mellis Bishop
Grant
Walker Ajose.

Feel harsh taking Benning out but for me CJ is wasted at right wing back.

I think that will be the team as well. Harsh on Benning but provides pace on both flanks , maximum creativity and goal potential.

Grant and Bish looked like they'd been team mates for years last night. Bishop is an excellent player and if Grant can feed off that it might also take a bit of heat off Mellis so he can relax a bit and show the quality he obviously has.
Mal and CJ linking up down the wing . Really promising last third of the season .

Because he'll stick to his 3 at the back with wing backs, not a back 4

I think we will see the same team as Crawley with Preston as substitute, Up the Stags!

Not gone well for us that has it clanger? Thank god we didn't follow your advice, sack DF back in October and bring in god knows who. I think I'll leave the selection and formation to DF rather than you mate, if you don't mind

This for me and agree very harsh on Mal. Don’t understand why people want the formation change but each to their own.

It’s got us to third place in the league. DF has rarely started with a back four and he sticks to the same system for cup, reserve and youth matches. He then changes the formation/personnel if the match needs it. We have played 3-4-3/ 4-4-2/ 4-3-3 and other variations at various times later on in games.

I can’t see us changing a system that we’ve played all season

If your a manager who believes in the strengths of a system. In Dfs case 3412 and are instilling the roles to be adopted to everyone in the club from youth upwards why would you even think about changing.
No way is he going to start an away game with a newer formation that the majority of the team have been trained out off for almost a complete season..
DF will stick to his prefered option but may change for last 15/20 minutes only if circumstances require.
I think he identified the frailties of 4 for at the back when he first arrived and this is informing his decisions this year.
This is what we pay our manager to do

Preston will return he is a big figure at the back and think the team selected by Lancer is what I would go with but DF always does his own thing and rightly so.

Bit of a shock maybe, but I suspect he might give CJ a breather for this one.
