Hope we are planning on signing somebody on a perm deal.

We've got a perfectly capable midfielder in Butcher, not to mention Macca who will come back and is better than Elsnik.

Butcher has made it clear he think he's a ten, even though he's not, and wasn't even on the bench last night (hopefully on his way). Elsnik is an 8 and is at least as good as Macca. Not to mention that Macca has had a setback and is going to be out for another four weeks.

I just saw that about Macca. Gutting. I still think Butcher has something to offer. He's been decent most times I've seen him play.

Elsnik is a much better player than Butcher. I'm sorry to see him go. I wonder if we tried to sign him permanently? He would have been a better investment than Khan.

Khan will make this club a lot more money, he literally started his first game the other day after a decent period injured and he’s suddenly not rated by some, mad that innit?

Not for here it isn't!

I rate Elsnik and would love him to come back here on a permanent deal, either now or at the end of the season. He is definitely League 1 quality.

Yeah I rate Elsnik too, I’m just surprised how quickly people forget how Khan would create a boat load of goalscoring opportunities before his injury, and the fact we signed him in the first place was a shock.

It's incredible that we're sending players of Elsnik's quality back. It shows how far we have come. In any of the last 10 seasons, he would have been one of our top three players.

Gone a bit quiet but I still think its possible, he plays similar to Bishops position which will make it a valuable addition

I thought he was decent too. I don’t think he will have any trouble finding another club in league 2 or perhaps even league 1

Theres a lot of good young players at Derby.. they must be doing something better than forest because they're near the top of premier league 2, Forest aren't even in division 2

Depends on your youth policy - maybe Forest have more lads out on loan playing competitive games down the ladder than under 23 games behind closed doors etc

Elsnik is much better than Atkinson, Butcher, Anderson and McDonald.

It's a shame that our hands are tied in that respect.

DF has a much better eye for a player than Evans.

Probably his most impressive home performance was against them on his debut.

If he is out of contact in June he would be a good signing for us.

The lad has been unfortunate to get caught up in the rules about loaning players, he has a bright future somewhere, hope it is with us next term

Unless he's released by Derby. Being under 24 we would have to pay compensation. With his performances for us and the goal he scored when he went back and if he does well for Northampton I doubt Derby would just release him.
