Stagsnet should be named as Martin’s Stagsnet.

Martin is as much a Stags legend as any player or manager and has helped us through some difficult times without seeking recognition.
I'd love to see the BBC do a feature on one of his standard weeks. It would put some Premier League journalists to shame.

Pity I can't listen to Martin's commo though but I've made my stand against paying for stuff that used to be free to air for ages and there's no going back.

Martin is more 'Stags' than the creaking Bishop St Stand we all know and love ;)

Very grateful for the passion & dedication you provide. How many microphones have to had surgically removed from your oesophagus after the game? :P

Echo all of the above, and when you look at, for example, the rancid board of Notts County it makes one realise how good Stagsnet is.
Well done Martin.

Fully agree with all the great sentiments about Martin's efforts and while I see no problem with referring to him as 'an important part of the Mansfield Town machine', I also think that it is appropriate to describe him as 'an important part of the Mansfield Town FAMILY' because that is what this increasingly feels like.

Many thanks Martin (and everyone else). Great team effort.

Excellent posts. Couldn't agree more. Really pleased that so many have taken the trouble to ackowledge Martin's dedication and loyalty to the Stags family. We are so lucky to have a reporter with such a perfect mix of passion and professionalism. It's all been said above. Thanks, Martin, and a very Happy New Year!

A real legend and he still buys his own season ticket, which I find the most relevant and honest characteristic of the guy.

Agreed. Let's be honest here, you'd be hard pushed to employ somebody that covers everything Martin does for this club for less that 30,000 PA. This is money which slightly enhances the other budgets, oh and he was the one that pointed out CJ to Muzza and co, who has now got to be valued at close to 7 figures.

Long live Martin Shaw.
