Great clips Martin, I think anyone not at the game can now see how brilliant Mellis and Bishop were, as you highlight in your report. They are involved in every clip, not had a better midfield pair since Dis and Williamson. I know we play a three, but frankly I could be the third man in that midfield and look good (well maybe not). At the time I thought Dawson fouled Bishop after his shot was saved, the clip shows why the referee probably didn't give it.

It was a terrific performance, one of the best in a long, long time.

Is it just me or does anyone else hold their breath each and every time one of scorers does one of those terrifying knee slides in celebration. I fear a serious knee injury each time until I see them get up again.

Please ban them David.

I think the same Craig every time I see a player do a knee slide. If their knee gets stuck in the ground then their season/career could be over. Just not worth the risk.

Never heard of a knee slide injury and they do them every game all through the leagues.

I think it was Paul Cox who introduced the one or two touch warm up. We then ignored that and got the ball forward ASAP, not a bad thing in the Conference (take note Clownty). Under DF we seem to play like this for 90 minutes. Player on the ball aware of the movement around him, player off the ball making themselves available. Your extended highlights show this to perfection.

Great chances if it wasn't for their keeper being brave n getting his position right it could have been a cricket score......

Their keeper worth looking at for a future buy....

Good shot stopper but his kicking and distribution was awful at times.

I know. It's probably the near 50 year Stag in me that just makes me know it will happen to us and wreck a great season. :D
