Depends how much of an offer comes in. Peanuts, sorry but no thanks. Over 1m then you're talking. What are CJ's priorities. A bit of success, regular footy and the prospect of moving in time, or going in Jan having a very healthy bank balance but bench warming for someone at Lge 1 or Championship level?

Think you know the answer to that.
The best we can hope for is a million in the bank and back on loan for the remainder of the season?

i’ve a bad feeling we are really going to need to brace ourselves for some very tempting bids for CJ this Jan, have to say great business getting him to sign a new contract in the summer

Got to keep him, I don’t care what bid comes in, refuse it.

As mentioned we won’t be able to get anybody as effective as him in, he’s vital to how we play. Hopefully he’s really enjoying his time here and wants to see the season out knowing he’s the main man and is improving with us week in week out.

Teams that go on to be successful don’t lose their best players in January.

Genuine question, what level of team are going to pay decent money to tempt Radford to sell him?

I honestly don’t think he’s that good for a Championship or top end League 1 to buy him. Anyone else and there wouldn’t be much point in him leaving.

If he did have to go, couldn’t we have one of those loaned back to us until the end of the season deals?

He’s definitely good enough for top end league one.

Sunderland would have enough clout to prise him away if they so desired.

I think the only way CJ would leave in January is if he expressed the desire to do so.

Doesn't he have 18 months left on his contract?

If so that would make him very expensive for the buying club. Also CJ has only been a consistant performer for the last 4/5 months, which would also make him a risky signing too.

I'm sure he's being tracked, but I'd expect him to stay till the end of the season at least.

I have every faith that JR is going to take absolutely no notice of any offer for CJ. After the disruption caused by other players having their heads turned by possible moves, I feel sure that he's instructed Flitcroft to keep Hamilton happy and stable.
Although losing him wouldn't mean the end of our promotion chances, to come all this way and then shoot yourself in the foot would be pretty stupid. We don't urgently need the cash, and JR has invested a huge amount to get here. Unless CJ himself pleads for a transfer he's staying. I doubt that JR will do a Haslam. What's the point of putting money in the bank if we're going to be stuck in the fourth division for ever.

Of course money talks, but I can't see CJ wanting to join up again with SE given the good progress he's made under the current manager.

I’m surprised we’ve not had interest prior to this season in KP (not saying we haven’t but nothing has been rumoured etc). He’s been excellent season after season and probably goes down as the best CB I’ve witnessed at our club.

CJ is vital to our prospects this season - and we must keep him. However, I don't think he is worth a million pounds just yet. Any offers are likely to be less than half of that ..... and I would expect JR to re-buff any offers like that. If a club came in with a ridiculously high offer (like £1m) then we would be in a difficult situation, but could try to agree to sell at the end of the season (or a loan back deal, as someone else suggested).
