Another away game and another long journey. Let's hope the FGR debacle doesn't undermine us else it's gonna be tough.

In now calling my mate the slumdog millionaire as he’s from st.evenage.

Football wise I’m going for a tight 2-1 win.

Seems an apt song to sing on Saturday.

'In your Stevenage slums,
You look in the dustbin fro something to eat,
You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat,
You sh*t on the carpet and p*ss in the bath,
(gets a bit saucy after this)
etc, etc.

Stevenage is only just over an hour on the train from Retford, so it's almost a local derby! I'm tempted to go, but have an appointment in the evening so might have to be satisfied with an ifollow afternoon.

Going on the train from newark.Easy run leaving newark late morning.Plenty of time for a couple of beers. It will be a difficult game but expect at least a draw.

Going down on the Friday. Spending an evening with family so I might have to pop into town to see what Lewis is moaning about.

2-0 to the Stags

I lived near there a few years ago. Old town is OK, some decent pubs, bit of a trek from there to the ground though. There's a cinema, bowling and loads of restaurants right next to the train station but the "new town" is a typical concrete post-war designed eyesore.

This game isn’t provoking much interest.

With 2 home games coming up and it being the xmas period I can't see it being a big away following, and Stevenage away is one of the least desirable away trips.

Well done to the folk going. Beer festival in Bolton for me :D

I will be there and got ticket numbers in the late 90's so expect roughly 100 sold at that point.

This was however on Monday the 10th so with a further 2 weeks of sales it should be at least a couple of hundred by now. 300 - 400 too ambitious the weekend before xmas?

I think we'll take 400. It doesn't help with how xmas has fell this year

Yeah, it’s frustrating. I live not far away but back up north doing family Christmas stuff. The Christmas stuff is fun but just a shame for me to miss a local game. I bet it’ll affect a few

Let's hope posts are kept to a minimum.

Stevenage have collected 7 points from their last 4 home games, Mansfield 8 points from the last 4 away games

I can't go to this one now :(

I think we'll win by 1 goal.

How many away league games are we undefeated this season?
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Dino Maamria: “Mansfield are a big club, big budget and big spenders. They are one of the clubs in League Two that came in to buy Matty Godden from us, so that is how powerful they are financially, they came in to buy our best player last season."

To most Div 2 managers and fans it must seem that we are.

I don’t gloat about that. When JR bought the club we just got lucky. And having supported the club for well over 60 years I shall continue to keep my fingers tightly crossed.
