Yes. As it stands we will be 3 points of automatic with 2 games in hand. I would have snapped your hand off for that in August.

Macclesfield winning. Sorry but Tranmere need to win. We can make up the points but as it stands a Tranmere win would see county bottom.

Given our relative league positions, I dont mind Notts County taking points off our rivals. I don't think that County will go down anyway, so we might as well let them do us as many favours as possible this season. If it came down to the last game of the season and County needed to win to stay up, but in so doing, they would help us get promoted - which would you take?

You know which one we would all take. I don’t think they will go down either.

On way back from FGR, no real surprise to see it abandoned at half time. It wasn’t a proper game of football, more just a case of who could adapt better to conditions.

Anyway, good set of results for us today. Not the be all and end all the game being off when you get results like that. On to Saturday!

It's for the best. Our game strength relies on possession, passing and running with the ball. By the sounds of the commentary, players like Hamilton were rendered ineffective. Happy with the decision - and we should have a better chance of getting the 3 points under better conditions, later in the season.

Totally agree. The match was probably playable but the weather was freezing windy and very wet.

It was a stick or twist opportunity for DF. We can beat them when we replay it.

On way back from game, we did OK good interplay in midfield, Logan looked composed, White was having a good game, evens at half time but with the wind behind us second half we would probably had the edge.
For info next time, standing under cover is £2 wasted, it is a short roof and three steps with no weather cover whatsoever, I was absolutely soaked. Hey ho, onwards and upwards.

It wasn’t a bad journey down so I’ll try and make it again. I think leaving at 4ish you could do it easily.

Just back. Right to give it a go at 3pm. Got worse during the half. Right decision. Either team losing that would have blamed the pitch.

The undercover seating was not much better than the undercover standing. Just 2 rows of seats which were wet through when we got to them. Also with the short roof we kept getting a bit wet throughout the first half. Poor conditions for rainy days.

I suppose cos they're on about moving then Vince is loathe to spend money on the place. As it is it's an absolute sh**hole of a ground for away fans. The beer tent was almost ankle deep in water, as said the... ahem... covered standing was a joke. We can't use the Green Man anymore and getting out of the access road takes yonks post game. Will they move to this £100m eco friendly new place, will they have a fanbase to warrant that when they do?

We walked down the hill to the park and ride with an FGR fan who happened to work for Ecotricity. When I mentioned the new ground he implied the company was not exactly flushed with cash and he didn't think they wouldn't be moving any time soon. He was originally from Scotland and FGR was the nearest to where he lives plus he gets a free ticket and cheap tickets for his kids. He moaned the lack of atmosphere which only picked up when there was a decent away following. He thought we were a decent team trying to play good football which wasn't possible yesterday

We did try to play football and survived the first half against the wind and having to defend the absolute marsh in our penalty area. I'd imagine the FGR boys wouldn't have fancied defending it 2nd half and playing into the wind. As one or two on the FGR forum allude they reckon we'd have been more likely to pinch it 2nd half. Would've just taken a Mellis special from range and the game would've been ours.

The Cotswolds are beautiful. Maybe you should enjoy the wider area next time.
