POTS

As we approach the halfway stage of the season, I wonder who folks think is the Player of the Season so far. The main contenders for me are Captain Fantastic, The Bishop of Mansfield and Billy Whizz (CJ), with for me the Bish just shading it.

Bishop for me. We need to start work on the replacement now as he makes us tick.

I agree with that Bros. All three worthy in their own rolls.

The fans marks that have been averaged on Eggy's ratings every game are

Bishop 7.36
Pearce 7.19
Olejnik 7.18
Mellis 7.17

Pearce for me, trophy already engraved  Bishop has made a real difference though, he has been a superb addition and so very obviously the sort of player we have needed for years. CJ could make a late run though but if the vote were held now, I suspect Pearce would just get it ahead of Bishop.

Olejnik wins the award for taking your chance when given it!

Pearce has been superb, as has CJ but got to be Bishop for me. The player we would miss the most if injured in my opinion and as consistent as anyone can be at this level.

I think CJ so far. If he keeps doing what he's been doing lately he'll walk POTS.

Pearce has been excellent, as has Bish, but CJ has become unplayable on his day and will earn this club a fortune at some point because he's now producing the goods. Teams play us and must worry more about him then anyone else.

Bish has made more of a difference to our team than any single player has for years though. He's a class act and if he can stay fit and we keep our form we could end up anywhere.

Pearce for me. But as others have said, those 3 have been unplayable this season and would walk into any team in the league.

Bish for me but have to mention the considerable improvement by Mellis this year which im sure helps out Bish to play his game.

Mellis showed elements of his capabilities last season but has taken it onto a different level this year in both terms of fitness and consistency.

The team as a whole look considerably fitter to last season hopefully the hectic schedule during the last month has set them up nicely for prepararion during the hectic xmas schedule.

Bishop for me,got a great engine, hardly gives possession away, gets stuck in,can spot a defence splitter and chips in with the odd goal. All round midfield maestro.

Bishop, without a shadow of doubt. He is our equivalent of what anthropologists would call the ‘missing link’.
