We're back under way here! #Mansfield have made three changes at the break, as Davies, Hamilton and Elsnik replace Rose, Khan and Pearce.

Craig Davies for Danny Rose
Timi Elsnik for Otis Khan
CJ Hamilton for Krystian Pearce

CJ is Mansfield's MOM after only 10 minutes on the pitch!!

CJ has made a massive difference. He could have had a couple of goals.

Attendance: 1,029 (27 from Bury)

Not a competitive game, not a competitive cup, would be nice to see us go further just for the radfords.

Whatever, the game is a warmup for Saturday and should be treated as much. Nothing more, mothing less

Well if that's the case it's been a very poor warmup!

Mellis having a nightmare game. Hardly anything good from him tonight.

Sorry but that’s a shambles of a performance. Preston, White, Mellis, Rose, Kahn, Walker, Benning will struggle to have worse games in a yellow shirt. That’s the only positive

That was a difficult watch - glad it’s only in the cup.

Did we string together more than one pass all game?

Shocker of a night against a Bury side that didn’t include any of their main men, very disappointing. No real positives at all to be honest only that at least this is hopefully our of our system.

Hamilton is so clearly our main threat going forward it’s untrue, we should refuse ANY offer for him in Jan because he will be key to our season. Desperately need to add to our strike force in my opinion, that isn’t an opinion based upon Just tonight’s game, it’s over the season. I think Walker, Rose, and Davies are all useful and have their place in the squad but we do need more to take us on to be successful.

On to Saturday now, massive game and I’m sure we’ll be better!

Very poor by the Stags. Only CJ and Conrad came out of the game with any credit.

We can't possibly play as bad as that on Saturday.

Was tonight a cause for concern for those who went or can it be put down to ring rust?

What happened to throwing the kitchen sink at a side and going to win a cup tie?

Just like Charlton at home we let the game peter out without making any attempt to put any concerted pressure on Bury at all. Even worse this time we were losing and they were down to 10 men and we didn't think to throw an extra man up front? It was madness to be still playing a lone striker, we wouldn't have scored if we played until tomorrow night.

I'm not necessarily bothered about losing or going out of the competition. Just shows an alarming naivety from DF in cup-tie competitions. If we're a goal behind in the play-offs come the end of the season are we going to persist with one up front?

It's clearly a different mindset for this competition, not only for fans but i'm sure for players too so i'm happy to pass off the relatively poor performance (as mentioned by those there tonight) as explainable by that and nothing to get concerned about. Although that said, it sounded like the latter stages of the Charlton game offered up identical tactics.

I'd like to think that whoever gets the nod on Saturday and who played this evening will not be putting in a similar performance. After all, if you can't get up for one of the biggest games of the season.

Decent turnout by the Stags fans tonight. I'm not a fan of the competition but i'm aware that others might not be either but still get enjoyment from going along and watching and supporting the lads regardless. Personally i'm pleased we're out and can now concentrate on the proper business of promotion.
