If the team preview is to be believed (completely wrong before the Lincoln game) then we are without our first choice center midfielders tonight.

If this is the case can only assume Butcher and Elsnik would play.

I think CJ will start. As stated we have a rest after this one and I think we will go all out for the 3 points

Ollie Palmer was never as bad as people made out on here and I'm not really surprised hes doing ok - lets hope that doesn't continue tonight.

I think we will win.....

Won’t be a classic due to the weather, but somehow, just somehow two goals from the Stags with none in reply make the final score two nil.

Shame I won’t be there this evening to watch, so karma will tear me a new one and my bet finally comes in!

How much am I down now Big Yella??

Hey Sparters

I appreciate the explanation that two goals from the Stags and none in reply will make the final score two nil. I’ve often wondered :D

With all the illness and injury problems we have I would have been inclined to have the sprinklers on all day to try and get the match called off !!

Without knowing who is ill and who is injured (we know 3 or 4) I'd bench the ill players, and drop the injured ones completely. Yes we have Saturday off but I'd rather the injured players have extra recovery time. Better to let them recover than play one game too many on the injury and tear the muscle. I'd rather players missed a game or 2 now than lose them for a few months later.

if you do this then you are playing the game tonight without Sweeney, Preston, Hamilton, Bishop, Mellis. You would struggle to play 3 at the back.

You’re a fish, so you will be fine!!! I wonder if they will still water the pitch at half time.

The two posts on the crawley MB suggest they have injury problems too.

Can't we get this rearranged for Saturday? Both teams out of the FA Cup!

Hasn’t come as a surprise. Jake Garner who does the BBC stuff has put 2 pics up on twitter of the pitch.

Right decision and gives the injured/ill players more time to recover

Drove 2 hours to get to mansfield for this...a bit annoying, surely there could have been an announcement of a pitch inspection at the very least.

It's been lashing it down most of the day so it's hardly surprising. I guess we've been spoit going so long without a postponment.

After the soaking I got walking 200 yards this evening I 'm kinda pleased.

Started tonking it down about 3pm in town and won't have become a problem until 5-530pm imo. Then they have to get the ref to check it and he probably arrived about that time so it's a sudden sort of thing imo
