Great report Martin, Pearce was a 10 for me, he is magnificent.

Agree with Pearce. A Lincoln mate of mine texted me to say how impressed he was with our defence as a whole.
Bishop was immense too.

Thanks for the excellent report, however you over praised Green for "laying it off" when he tried to control it, failed, and it ran away from him, doubt if he even knew the scorer was there

one amendment to the report after going through the game again:
On 87 minutes, Rose went down in the area. No penalty and the referee gave a free kick the other way. I initially thought the free kick was given for diving by Rose but from the replay it was for handball as Rose landed next to the ball.

Martin, you say we remain in 4th place, but I thought we were 5th before start of play.

I thought Danny Rose’s booking was harsh. He was running away from the keeper, albeit slowly, and the keeper just ran into his heels. Surely it is the keeper’s responsibility to avoid him. It’s not like he just stood in his way.

he grabbed hold of the keeper to stop him from releasing it quickly just before

A Lincoln fan I know said the same, but also said we were poor up front.

I’d give Pearce a maximum too.

Just watched it back on the full replay and stand by my opinion. Danny did put his hands on their keeper but didn’t pull him. He then ran round in front of him. It wouldn’t have been a foul on any other player and shouldn’t have been here either, let alone a yellow card.
Agree with Martin’s (altered) assessment that the later free kick was for hand ball, not diving.

I was stood right behind him when this happened and I can promise you he had a full handful of the keeper's shirt. I assumed that's why the free kick had been given., but I guess the ref hadn't seen it from the other side. 100% though that's what he did.

Yes, it looks on the video like he miscontrolled the ball but got lucky.

You’ve got eyes like a Shithouse Rat mate. I couldn’t even see the stand at the far end

Brief match stats
…………………………………………………... .....Stags......... Imps
Possession (%) …………………………….…….49 .............51
Shots…….Total…………………………………... 9.. .............7
…………...On target………………………….…….3 ...............2
……………Blocked……………………………….....3 ...............1
……………Off target (inc hit woodwork)..3()............ 4()
Expected Goals…………………………………. 0.6.............0.8
Corners………………………………………...……..2.................5
Offside …………………………………………….. 1.................1
Fouls…………………………………………….....….9................ 17
Cards (Yellow/ Red)........................3/ 0 .............1/0
Offsides added after watching the game back. Other stats from Sky/BBC. Expected goals come from Experimental 361.
Personally I think Lincoln had 4 shots on target (Akinde, Andrade, O’Connor free kick and the goal). Mansfield’s were from Danny Rose and a long range effort from Matt Preston in the first half and then the goal in second half added time.
