Green got a great ovation of 'Greeny, Greeny' from us Staggies when he entered the fray late on and and at the end as folk were filing out he stayed out to warm down and another chant went up and he came across to applaud those left. The guy is a legend to us, always will be and would atm be no worse than Dan, Tyler or Craig... but probably no better and we need better.

Rheady for some strange reason was booed which I could not understand so didn't give any acknowledgement to the Stags fans. He'll always be remembered by me fondly for his part in that goal on that night without which we'd not be talking about a top of the table clash in Lge2

Whilst I wouldn't boo either, (the Rhead booing is a mystery to me) I don't get this love-in with them, Green got top dollar on his return from Brum and was never the same, Evans didn't help of course , we're seeing his influence still on Rose.
But giving Green the big applause ? Take a look at his celebration at their goal and Rhead yesterday, tho I don't blame Rhead for that after being booed. Their celebrations weren't those of men who get misty eyed about Mansfield Town.
Both now a pair of impact subs, we have moved on, and even though we desperately need that talisman striker, these two ain't it.
Thanks for your service chaps.....and adios.

In a high tempo and passionate atmosphere I don't blame any player for celebrating a goal. We clapped Green and Green clapped us - there is mutual respect. He deserved his applause and chant for being the genuine club legend that he is. End of.

Agree with this. Mutual respect. Not like some players who have dumped on us after leaving. He played a major part in getting us back up.
Compare that with the likes of that ginger Judas Naylor. DCFC eh.

They’re both legends, without them we could still be playing Eastleigh. A bit of respect

Good luck with that

Even if you get consensus, someone will want someone out! I mean you now have Belly who is telling everyone how he doesn't rate CJ based on three games, when most of us know he is having a terrific season and is starting to fulfill the potential we know he has. I think if we were top by 10 points you'd still get folk having a go at CJ, Rose, Walker etc, etc. It's all a bit sad.

What’s your point ? Am I not allowed to have an opinion based on what I’ve seen ? Are you in charge of Stagsnet ? I must have missed the bit where you took over moderation.
Do you think CJ has a good first touch ?

I didn't say you weren't allowed an opinion, just that you are basing it on 3 games which is clearly unfair. He had a quiet game yesterday, but he is right up there as one of the players of the season. As for his first touch, yes I think he does and is very skillful, he still perhaps does not always make the right decision in the final third, but even that has very much improved under DF. So yes, of course you're entitled to an opinion, just as I am entitled to say it is utter guff

My thoughts. Great resilience to dig the draw out after conceding late.

Pearce was immense. Give him a contract extension now

Not our best display but take a draw at the league leaders.

Rose was average. CJ did nothing and I don’t get the hype.

Fans were great.

You don't get the hype with CJ? This was clearly your first game in the past 2 months then.

This. CJ has been fantastic the last couple of months and he’s improving all the time. Yesterday wasn’t his day through no fault of his own IMO, we didn’t play with any width at all.

Walking back to the car quietly listening to the gimps fans, they really did think they created loads and should of been out of sight, deluded is polite.

Great finish by Mellis. Good to see Otis back as well, we looked much better going forward with him on.

Khan did bugger all.

Found pockets if space, actually gave the defenders and option to play out from the back. Involved in all our best sequences bar the goal.

He could've had a goal himself I remember , played well .
What a great equaliser at the end similar to what they did to us at the Mill last season :D

There's an amusing thread on Gimps forum about whinging Flitcroft. As it says, Fliitters moaning, Cowley gets under his skin and has the measure of DF and how DF celebrated like we'd won the championship

I'd say it was very much the reverse, Cowley whinging about lead up to goal, a ticking off from the ref for whinging, Walker dragging one of their backroom staff away at the end cos they couldn't handle it and Cowleys celebration last season for a checkatrade winner!!!.

Keep it up DF

Point is that he's not overhyped, he's genuinely been our best player this season alongside Pearce and Bish.

Also tell it to the Charlton fans who want bowyer to make a move for him in January, if they can afford him thats a different story.

They won't be the only suitors come January though and we'll have to make sure his head stays firmly on helping the team get as many points as possible.

I think what he was alluding to, is that when he took over there wasn't much of a team spirit.

You can have good players, but you also need them to bond as a team and play for each other to have a better chance of succeeding.

He has been trying to create this since he took over and thinks we have it now.

Nah, what he meant was we had more Midfielders than Holdsworth ever had players in his squad. 3 or 4 right wingers and 1 left winger.

We got out of jail there. Lincoln were slightly the better team in the 2nd half but we defended well. Krystian Pearce was excellent. Matt Preston was just my MOM in front of Krystian even though he was beaten by Rheady in the air in the lead up to Lincoln's goal. Lincoln's subs nearly won the game for them. Great goal by Jacob Mellis at the end even though he did not have his best game. Two injury time equalizers and we are still unbeaten away. Danny Cowley is complaining on the radio about the ball being out of play in the build up to our goal.

Tbh Belly, I'm more than happy with a point away from home, especially given the timing of their goal.

Dare I say it, but I'd be happy with 2 points over both these games, as it shows we're equal to them. Also, it'd feed the happy clapper monkey inside me ;)

Referees being discussed on talk sport, and the comments by Cowley have been brought up where by the fourth official agreed with him that the ball had gone out. (According to Cowley anyway).

Suggesting that common sense should prevail and the fourth official should be able to tell the ref it went out.

Lets hope it destabilises their season going forward.
