Postby part time pete » Tue Nov 13, 2018 10:47 pm

So who do we want in next round in a tie at home to be played before Christmas

Could be any of these and only these

Stoke u-21's
Bury
Macclesfield
Man C u-21's
Walsall
Oldham
Doncaster or Notts County

I read the regs and I thought it could be any of the 7 you listed.

However, looking round for the draw date you are correct in stating it is one of Stoke u-21's, Bury, Macclesfield or Man C u-21's

The draw is 1pm on Friday and is live on Talksport 2

Looks as if Talksport 2 is only available on line

Would you settle for Stoke under 21?

Personally anyone but Bury would do.

Forest Town Stag, for someone who is avoiding this completion like the plague you are putting a lot of effort into correcting people.

If life carries on like this you may be seen at the bar buying a round of drinks........

Don't the U23 sides have to play away or is that just the group stage?

According to the official site, there are no U23 sides in the competition, just U21s.

U21s actually. |It is just the group stage were they have to play away.

The regulations say that invited clubs have to play at their regular home ground so if we should get Newcastle or Sunderland away in the next round then we would be at St James Park or Stadium of Light.

There is no restriction on them playing away in the ko rounds.

Notice Sunderland took over 2k supporters to Morecambe this week.

What's the winning teams prize for this 1st KO stage?

Each EFL Club to receive a participation fee of £20,000, in addition to the following competition fund
Group Stage: £10k for a win and £5k for a draw
Round Two: £20k for a win
Round Three: £40k for a win
Quarter Final: £50k for a win
Runner-up: £50k
Winner: £100k

That means we have got 50k so far

The team winning the trophy gets 300k in prize money.

Imps took 30k to Wembley last season so that would have generated a good sum in ticket money.
