It's probably in other threads but why are we playing Sunday Tuesday
And not sat Tuesday.
Your stats show we draw sat win Tuesday I would rather win Sunday.
I like the brief reports more than the Long ones in minutes if I'm honest.
Helmet on but I like more stats of shots on goal saves etc...
I like the player ratings just not the on 4 mins on 6 mins on etc...
No offence meant just what I like.

The BBC has stats, so no need to repeat them here.

no offence taken at all chip.
If you prefer the brief report, then you can stop after the opening paragraphs. I know that some people don't have time to read the whole thing and I try to get all the important bits into the summary at the top.
I know some people also like the detail, which you will not find accurately in any other report. I have the benefit of watching the full match back to get it completely accurate.
I don't usually summarise the number of shots on goal as a figure, but you will be able to work it out if you read the report.

As to why we are playing Sunday Tuesday, the FA moved our game to Sunday for TV - it's as simple as that, and the clubs had no say in it.

Martin - do you know if the club made any attempt to move the Scunthorpe game to Wednesday?

not as far as I know. I bet we would have tried if it had been a league game.

Thinking about, it's probably preferable to keep the 4-day gap to the Port Vale game on the following Saturday.

We aren't aloud to make massive changes for the Checkatrade game are we? dont 7/8 players have to play from your previous game?

We made 7 changes for the Lincoln game and 7 changes for the Wolves U21 game. I'd expect the same number on Tuesday.

I think that the rules about changes are not that onerous.

Six of the starting ten outfield players from the previous league game need to be named in the 18 man line up for the checkatrade game.

So the staring elevens can be completely different.

no, I don't think you can change all 11 players without getting a fine Pete. I think 7 is about the most. The rules are about the starting eleven more than about the squad of 18. (One thing some clubs have done is make about 7 changes to the starting eleven and then make some early substitutions.)

Though it is quite complex, details here if you want to plough through

7.3 Each EFL Club shall play its Full Available Strength in and during all Matches. Full Available Strength means the EFL Club must include at least four Qualifying Players in the ten outfield Players named in the starting eleven on the Team Sheet.

7.4 Qualifying Player means any Player who:

7.4.1 had started the immediately preceding First Team Fixture (as defined below);

7.4.2 subsequently starts the immediately following First Team Fixture;

7.4.3 is in the list of ten Players at the Club with the highest number of starting appearances in First Team Fixtures in the same Season;

7.4.4 has made forty or more starting appearances in First Team Fixtures or international equivalents (and not limited to the same Club or Season); or

7.4.5 is on standard loan from a Premier League Club or any EFL Club operating a Category One Academy.

Looks like we have an advantage of rotating players as our preceding game is an FA Cup game and nearly all of our 'reserves' have played over 40 games in their life (eg Atkinson, Butcher, Davies, White etc.)

Just playing them four and six outfield kids are within the rules.

As I said before very relaxed rules and not onerous at all.

That is true for recent matches but if you like to look back at older matches (from previous seasons) then these stats are not available. The earliest Stags league match available on the BBC is Coventry away on 11th November 2017. The FA Cup match v Shaw Lane on 4th November is also available. Two cracking matches.
Come 1st December these match reports/ stats will not be available.

Fair point, so perhaps you or Chips (or anyone reliable) would volunteer to copy the BBC stats after each match, reformat for easy pasting, and send them to Martin to add to the report as a summary at the end. I'm not being sarcastic, it's just a suggestion if you think that it would enhance the historical record.
I think he has more than enough to do with all the other stuff so can't be expected to do this himself, and although I'd also like the feature I'm not always in a position to get this done.

That's as good as I could do :D
I'd like more on passes completed saves made possession in each half of the pitch.
I'm sure someone with better it skills than me could start a thread on match stats.
I wouldn't like martins reports changed in anyway.
I'm more than happy to read the beginning and skip to the end :D
