His all round play is good. Great awareness but shanked his chances and should have won us a penalty.

He won't, however, fire us to promotion.

A week is a long time.in football.

He's got everything, AND the goals at the moment.

As it looks we're in a strong position and if he keeps up his rate of 5 goals in 3 games he WILL fire us to promotion.

;)

The life of a fickle football fan eh

However, I do think he had a slow start, but he is starting to look the business right now. Just shows, a bit of patience goes a very, very long way.

You did realise he already had seven goals before this goal streak!!! Is it Dennis who only has one goal? wow. Tyler is on target to get 30 at this rate but 20+ is a good return imo.

A better idea. Let’s raspberry off Norman to Basford and keep Tyler Walker.

Problems solved for] us, Basford and Forest on one move. And I won’t even charge an agents % fee for setting up the moves. Though Carolyn and lime green jelly could help smooth the transfers......

No chance bud, Norman needs to stay here with us!

His clueless rants are the perfect catalyst for things improving. Plus it makes him a bigger t*t than Melinder Messenger's funbags :P

Fair play to Belly, his style might be rougher than porcupine quill bog roll, but he's supportive of the current setup

Norman wasn't alone in his criticism though when you read back.
I can't put an exact date on when the fans decided to get behind him, maybe Cheltenham away, but he certainly has responded to encouragement. We have a player on our hands here who likes scoring goals, long may it continue.
I posted about the bloke in Q block who shouted absolute bile at him, he should have seen a video of his behaviour, hopefully he'd be ashamed of himself, he starts the song about him now

Maybe we could sign a player from forest with a buy back clause. We buy him for £25k and forest have the option to buy him back at the end of the season for £25k. Gets round the loan limit loophole.

I had an indifferent opinion and needed some convincing at the start. Wasn't sure he'd cut the mustard, he seemed to fire blanks. He has actually improved dramatically since I had that opinion of him. He still drifts in and out of games but now you expect him to score however he's playing.

He just seems settled and confident.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

To be fair, Spiritater wanted to send him back for not scoring in pre season.

Crewe away, just before the Cheltenham game, people were singing his ‘new’ song even before he scored his goal. There seems to be a real positive approach from the supporters this season. We seem to have realised that the team and individuals really respond to the crowd even when things aren’t going as well as we expect/hope.

Strangely, or not, the Crewe game was just 3 days after the start of this thread by Norman.

Worked hard. Got in behind a few times, linked up well.

Not the 20 goal a season striker we were hoping for though I'm afraid. I'd have put Davies on ten minutes earlier and I'd start with Davies next time out.

At least I saw the potential in him in terms of work rate, linking up well!...

And then he added that goalscoring touch. Lethal!

I was also right about him not being a '20 goal a season' striker. He's looking more like he's going to get closer to 30...

May admit to being wrong about Davies, mind... ;)

Davis has been unlucky and we've not seen his best as he's been hampered by the floating bone in his ankle. It's a bit like running a marathon with a stone in your shoe
