Clownty are the gift that keeps on giving. At least we put up a fight when we went down. They have thrown in the towel with a third of the season to go!

Based on their last 5 games they've averaged 0.4 ppg, between now and the end of the season that's just enough to catch Morecambe = 28 points

They don't play Saturday, by which point Cheltenham play Macclesfield - a draw would leave Notts 7 behind safety, and a win would mean they're 8 behind.

Their games in February are LINCOLN, forest green, MANSFIELD, NEWPORT, tranmere.

Had a look at their fixtures after Feb, if they aren’t stupidly adrift by then they have a chance as they’ve got a lot of the sides in and around them to play but I do think they’ve had it.

Their goal difference is that bad it adds another point away from safety onto them

Problem being is they've played Macclesfield, Cambrdge (both at home) Yeovil, Grimsby all within the last month and got nothing

Might need 92 points for automatic promotion !!!
We have only achieved more than 79 points once in 1985-86 since the introduction of 3 points for a win.
Exeter with 90 points in 5th must be gutted !!
I am sure 18th position usually has a lot more points than 42!!
Looks like these predictions have the top teams all beating the bottom ones with very few shock results.
There will be numerous shock and twists and turns to come.
First match : 04.01.1975 home v Cambridge Utd F.A.Cup 3rd Round 1-0 Clarke

This thread is now 60 pages and almost 1500 posts in. Are we seriously, that bothered about County that we deem it worth all these replies?
This and the Chesterfield thread are gargantuan now, and have absolutely no equal on their sites I notice.
I fully expect to get slaughtered for this but what makes us have this obsession and to an outsider that's what it must look like, when it doesn't get reciprocated it appears to me?

Believe me it does get reciprocated. They're more obsessed with us than we are of them. I guarantee I get chanted at all the time by Notts fans and they're always singing about how they 'hate mansfield'. They did both at Yeovil on Saturday. You only have to look at Twitter & Facebook as well. One Notts 'fan' who lives in Mansfield actually wished Jorge Grant would break his leg against Crawley. If that's not 'reciprocated' then I don't know what is!?

i think its just that we, being such a small, insignificant club, in the shadow of two such gargantuan teams, have to take what little enjoyment we can from life.

and its hilarious!
my one regret is...i have no regrets!

Perhaps it is time to put this thread to bed and stop the comments about Alan Hardy.

When your team is rock bottom of the 92

You ignore speed limit signs and get banned from driving

Have a funny shaped head and

Talk testicles

These are things that must affect him greatly when they are committed to print and I won't be a part of it.

It's just a question though, and there are many funny posts , but we have never been that bothered before. As I said it was a question that's all. Do people think the Cone Head factor has been the biggest influence?
On the County board there is a real level of bitterness from a few which is amusing, but 1500 replies

What are we working on after 45 games out of interest per this predictor thing bearing in mind we play MK Dons on the final day?

Do we go in on 93 and lose?
Do we draw?
Do we beat MK and perhaps snatch third off Bury?

Should the predictor be believed it'll be an old fashioned ear to the radio event at Stadium:mk

And out of interest for those who boycott MK Dons because of the whole franchise thing would you/I/we be prepared to turn a blind eye to help see The Stags over the promotion line?
